Our room was inconveniently located on the 1st floor near an exit with no views. We didn’t know this was a pet friendly hotel, my mistake, but we heard people in & out with thier dogs at all hours. We asked to change our room but was told they were fully booked. Room was clean but very humid and we had to change the humidifier water ourselves as housekeeping never did. Overall, i would say it was a 3 out of 5.. seems there were many orher places to stay in the area.

Nice hotel with a view
Nice hotel with great view. Close to the Acadia park and downtown Bar Harbor. Frequent shuttle from hotel to all around the city and Acadia National Park. We were hoping to use the pool but the water did not look clean. Our last day the pool was closed due to algae. The fridge in our room was not adjustable and most of our fruit was frozen. The windows in the room does not open and had to have AC on the whole time. Pretty noisy AC system. Overall I liked the hotel and the grounds.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The staff were a bit dry. Not rude or unaccommodating but since we came at the end of the season, we just chalked it up to everyone having had a long summer. We have no complaints and we would definitely stay again. The servers we had for breakfast were awesome. The server we had for dinner at the Italian restaurant helped us choose the best dishes. Everyone we met was from a different background and traveled to Maine for seasonal work which was cool. The view from the hotel is immaculate. It’s very close to town and Acadia National Park. Our time spent there was too short! The hotel is pet friendly and it seemed like every guest had brought their dogs along with them. We saw a bald eagle in the tree by the pool the morning we checked out. Lots of nature and beautiful flowers. 10/10 stay

Hotel marketed as pet friendly but only accepts dogs. This should be made clear as we travelled a long way with a cat and were left with no place to stay. Staff were also rude to us about it.

Great place to stay with family. The hotel is right beside the ocean with a wonderful view! Only one complaint is the price, it cost me around $500 for one night which is a little too much!

Was dissapointed during check in, as they did not allot the balcony room, which was booked. Asked to meet the manager in the morning, as i had arrived late in the night. We were there for two nights, and do not wish to change the rooms for one night, as we were checking out early morning the second day. The pool was very good, with very good service, my kids had a good time. But the hot tub was too small for so many guests. The rooms need to be updated, as the hotel is an excellent location. The breakfast place had good food with reasonable pricing. Location wise, it is very good, as everything is nearby.

The property was on the Ocean. A beautiful pool and with three dining options on the premises. The grounds of the resort were meticulously maintained with gorgeous plants and flowers. Would definitely return.

I did last minute booking thru Expedia and they still upgrade my booking to one of their sister hotel which has the best location in Bar Harbor especially walking around downtown. I will definitely come back to Harborside Hotel Spa and Marina. Guest staff are all friendly .
