We did our research and knew what to expect when it came to showers, electricity, etc. Staff was excellent - very accommodating. We would stay at Under Canvas again. Only slight negative, we underestimated the number of families with small children.
Great experience - we stayed one night with 2 kids and a dog. Very nice and helpful staff, great common facilities with a beautiful view and a spacious, clean and quiet tent.
Beware! You may end with a crying baby in the tent next to you and you will not be reimbursed for your sleepless night and will have to ask repeatedly to get a quiet tent. The food quality is poor (I found a hair in my shrimp tacos!) and overpriced (lobster prices were 50% higher then everywhere else we went). The food also lacked flavor and quality. The General Manager demeanor was stern, cold and inhospitable. She scared my daughter after speaking to her in a harsh tone. Also know that UC charges hidden fees for booking off site adventures with them. In general I found the value proposition not worth it.

Liked: Staff & service
Staff was wonderful. Thought we would have a water view but didn’t. Food was expensive and limited. No where to swim and there were insects in the tent. No electricity except a small power battery packs and the fans were 3 inches so when it’s hot so are the tents. Chairs are very low which were hard to use. Shower hard to use it was either scalding or cold.
Had a great time at Acadia Under Canvas- it was our first stay with Under Canvas and really enjoyed it. Great food options- little pricey but yummy! Staff was very friendly and informative. Will do it again!
We stayed for one night and had the most wonderful stay. The site is beautiful and the private beach was great to go hunting for crabs.
The food is beautiful and the s’mores kits are a great touch.
The bed is super comfy and the tents are spacious. The team were in hand to help us get our stuff from the car to the tent.
All of the team were incredibly helpful and friendly. So happy to give recommendations for walks near by.
Fantastic stay! All the campground staff are very welcoming and professional, very smooth check in process. We had an unexpected flight delay and weren’t able to make our first night,
Once in a lifetime opportunity/experience. Unique camping with the amenities of a nice hotel.

Noisy
We had the tent closest to the road leading to the communal tent. Instead of a peaceful weekend in nature, we were treated to the sounds of cars, fire alarms and barking dogs.
The service, food and campus were all quite nice. Though it feels like in order to maximize profits, they stuck as many tents as they could next to each other. It probably would have been a lovely experience if they doubled the space between the tents and set a minimum distance from the road.
What a great property and a great experience - people were so nice there and the food was great. The tents were amazing. And the location is just beautiful. We loved it.
We had a very nice experience; the tents were delightful, the staff was extremely chipper and attentive, the grounds were interesting and easy to get around. Location was conveniently located next to downtown Ellsworth with several dining options, and a reasonably short 30 mins to Acadia trailheads. My only demerit is that they promised access to a guitar, so I intentionally didn't bring mine to pass time on extra rainy evenings, but they didn't actually have one available and every day just told me they couldn't find it.
