We were greeting by the owner. He was very nice and efficient. The room was spacious and clean, they only include 2 plastic cups and 2 coffee cups and I like having one in the bath and one in the room overnight but I picked up an extra at the coffee bar in the lobby. Room was comfortable. Haven’t had breakfast yet. They don’t have a restaurant but do have a nice bourbon bar.

The staff was helpful and courteous. The common areas and our room were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. The only downside was the the fact that there is no elevator, which we both need. We tried to relocate to a first floor room but because we booked on hotels.com, we were not permitted to do so. We encountered this with one other booking on our trip where my wife and I had to endure climbing the stairs to the second floor because we couldn't be relocated to the first floor.

The rooms were freshly renovated. We liked the seating area in the room and lighting, but there was no closet (just a rack) and the desk was tiny. So there wasn’t much space to set things out. There was no safe and the refrigerator didn’t work.

This was my second stay at this location. It is close to Bardstown which makes it a good hub for distillery exploration. I enjoyed drinking and yakking with the fellow travelers down at the bar.
