We had a great time staying there; the only thing we were disappointed about was that the pool area needed a bit more cleaning, as well as the changing rooms.

My husband and I stayed at this property for a weekend visit, in March 25. The breakfasts were great in the mornings! On our first night we had food at the hotel, the menu choice was very poor, and very expensive, also the atmosphere in the dining area was dreadful. It felt like a café. It might have been more relaxing to lower the lights and put some music on in the background. Also the tables were not dressed with cloths and candles. It was not relaxing! We loved swimming in the pool and all the staff were very friendly. Our room was great but we had no view! We looked out on a large grass bank and a few trees. Overall a good place to stay with good road connections.

Expected better ! Let down on a few aspects.

We booked this as somewhere nice to stay ahead of a family commitment in Sheffield. Whilst the hotel looks very nice in the pictures, there were some let-downs that did not meet expectations:- Towel rail and key slot to enable room electrics were broken. Towel rail could not be fixed so towels could not be dried. Several rooms nearby had multiple dogs in that were barking loudly for a lot of the time. The restaurant food was generally tasty but the staff did not offer any flexibility with the menu, and many items are clearly cooked from frozen. We hoped to use the pool with the family but it is closed to children from 5pm, which is not stated in the hotel description.

Excellent Hotel!

We were staying for the weekend for our anniversary and got a free upgrade mentioned upon checking in which was a great surprise considering when booking the girl said she would write on the mirror and get some balloons etc to mark the occasion! The room was huge and presented nicely with the little touches added by the staff. We only found the time to enjoy the spa facilities on the first day but enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and the steam room! The last day of our stay, we booked room service breakfast using the doorknob card provided. It arrived between the requested times and was still hot it was a great way to end the stay. We will definitely be staying again we had a great time! Thank you Mitch & Sean

Our kids were woken once at 11pm by the fire alarm which were apparently planned indoor fireworks at an event. There was no communication from staff as to whether we should leave the premises. Then we were awoken again by a 40 birthday party in the room next door, shouting, screaming, playing music, and vomiting. We called reception (on our mobile as there was no phone in the room to call reception) but nothing was done about the noise. I don’t think the amount of money we paid is fair when we have had a stressful and sleepless night. Not great.
