Accessible room was excellent catering well for disabled visitors. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Cafe at the hotel served up the best ice cream, cake and sausage roll Ives tasted. All at a reasonable price

Don’t stay if you want to sleep

There is no soundproofing and the staff do nothing about other guests running riot knocking on doors, running down corridors shouting and screaming. If you want to report anything to reception, you have to run the gauntlet past drunken youths in the early hours of the morning to ask for assistance. Staff uninterested. Will never stay again

Very happy with cleanliness of room and hotel. Restaurant open till late so got a meal at 9pm after other places had closed. Food very good and all the young staff very polite friendly and helpful. Good value for money. The hotel needs to stress that the breakfast deal for residents is only applicable between 7am and 9am.

The fairway is no longer called the fairway breakfast is not available neither is a bar or even some water you can however buy a bottle of water for £2.50 from a vending machine. They still advertise that your staying at the fairway and that breakfast is available but that’s just not true they are having a refit the kitchen looks like it’s going to be closed for some time so if you need amenities book somewhere else. The rooms are very good though for when they’re back up and running fully it’s a five star.

Nice rooms but dusty with a bright glowing light!

The hotel restaurant, bar and frontage were undergoing renovations, which was not made clear when booking. That meant there was no restaurant or bar and we were woken by workman at 7am. They have done a great job of renovating the rooms, but the feature wall behind the bed was coated in a layer of dust. The dust would drop off the wall every time the air nearby was disturbed - not great for an asthmatic. The black out curtains were fab, but unfortunately did nothing for the glaring green light of the smoke detector which lit up the room from the inside all night. Not worth what we paid for the room, very disappointed.

Renovations Vs Customer satisfaction - nil points

Absolute rubbish, they accepted my seven night booking and advised me one day before I arrived the restaurant was closed for renovation. So I spent my holiday on a building site and they wouldn't consider any compensation except to offer a free breakfast on a future booking!

Not a hotel, it is a dormitory.No hotel facilities what so ever - no restaurant, no bars, nothing - bedroom nay. Being mis- sold as fully functioning hotel - DO NOT STAY HERE, they will not refund you for their deception and no- one will speak to you. Take it or leave it are your options - GO ELSEWHERE- and Expedia are useless, they know this property is being mis- sold but allow it to go on. GO ELSEWHERE!!!
