Great location? Nice pools, spacious rooms. Not quite top marks though as facilities starting to look a bit tired / worn out. Needs a refurb to be truly 5 star.

Beautiful historic building overlooking the gardens, which houses the reception, restaurant and formal drawing rooms, alongside the contemporary building where the bedrooms, gym and pool area is located. Magnificent view of the countryside towards Faro.

A lovely hotel only a few minutes walk from the centre of the resort. The staff are lovely and include lots of nice touches. We both celebrated birthdays and received cake a fizz each time. Gets a bit busy at the breakfast buffet, but overall a great hotel.

This is a very good hotel, well situated, comfortable generous rooms, relaxed hotel, lovely pool area and grounds, good options at the buffet, but missing a few nice to have eggs options (poached eggs, omelette). The drinks are of decent quality, and the evening and dsy entertainment was top notch. The restaurant experience was notably lacking personal service and lacked hospitality which seems to have changed since our last visit. Everyone else was courteous and professional and helpful with information or requests. The hotel has changed ownership and lost some local flavour and personality but it is a very comfortable stay while visiting the area.

For a 4 star hotel it’s quite run down and old. We stayed 3 days. The amenities are nice. We had an ant problem in our room which was gross, they came and cleaned it up and sprayed a bunch of chemicals. Wouldn’t stay here again!

The location and views were amazing!!

We were at the end of a wonderful split trip that started with 4 nights in Lisbon followed by 4 nights in Salema (Algarve) with 2 final nights in Lisbon. We decided on the houseboat for the last two nights and so glad we did. Family if 4 with two teenagers. Great food and drink within a short walk, safe, clean, spacious and right on the water. Don’t miss live music at “Black Label” on the corner almost nightly. Great time and we’ll be back.
