Do not recommend

The sheets were stained, the face wash towel qas stained, there was a huge black hari wrapped around the body wash dispener, the mini fridge had a towel qrappsd around the top luece of glass. The towel had black mould all over it. Would not recommend to anyone. Disippointed i soent $300 for ONE NIGHT for that. Room should bave been discounted with all those issues abd the cleaning and majntenance staff made aware of how gross eveeyrhing was. W I spoke to the front desk she was lovelt bur not much she could do. Extremely unsatisfied and disappointed with the amount of money and the quality, cleanliness

The front desk staff member upon check in was very friendly, and the staff member working breakfast bar was just as kind. The room itself was decently clean and renovated. Thank you for the clean and friendly stay!

Bathroom door would barely open and close as it was binding on the floor. Bathtub was painted (making it extremely slippery) and the paint was peeling off the tub leaving my feet covered in bits of paint after a shower.

Very comfortable stay at Days Inn Barrie

It was a very comfortable stay at Days Inn Barrie. I don’t know why there were many negative reviews about this hotel. I got a room on the second floor. The bed was super comfy and I loved the sofa with side table where I can eat dinner and watch TV. Room was clean and had a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. The TV unfortunately didn’t have many good channels, I was disappointed, and there were no streaming apps, I had to use my own iPad to stream movies/TV shows. A free breakfast was offered, and I was pleasantly surprised that there were sausages and scrambled eggs. Bread and waffles were also offered, along with coffee, tea and juice. They didn’t offer fruit, muffins or yogurt though. Oh, the breakfast guy actually does stare at you as you take the sausages and eggs lol. It was kind of weird, but I guess they have to keep an eye to make sure you don’t grab all of the sausages or something. But he did walk back into the kitchen but then he comes back out. My stay was nice and quiet, I only heard people walking by and banging doors, there were no screaming people and nobody knocked on my door. I guess there are less homeless people around now. I would stay here again, I just wish they’d upgrade their TVs lol.

I was not impressed. I stay at another brand of hotels that are in the lower price range like this and find them to be way better. Staff was okay. Breakfast was not good, very few options, scrambled eggs were cold. Bathtub was old with low water pressure. The bathroom door was marked up quite a bit with paint missing. Hall door didn’t always close automatically. I looked up some restaurants on the information kiosk upfront, luckily I googled the restaurant I thought about going to because it was permanently closed. That needs updating. I did not see any accessible parking spaces. The bed was comfortable. The pool and hot tub were nice.

I didn't like the staff that came in my room 1/2 hour after we rented it to ask if we needed something. I could have been naked and she jusy walked in. I understand that staff can come in the next morning to clean but right after we rented it was weird.

The room smelled like someone had just used the washroom for a number 2 when we first walked in, not to mention the smell of stale cigarettes. Also, the carpets were so gross you could actually FEEL the grime under your feet, so my kids ended up wearing socks the entire time in the room which got brown by the time they went to bed. The corners of the baseboards were peeling off the wall, the bathtub/faucet was super old and the tub had no drain cap/mesh. The bathroom sink let out a funky smell when you ran the water. The hair dryer was wall mounted but had to have the plug hanging because the switch wouldn't work to turn it off if it was plugged in. While the front desk girls were polite enough, I was really put off by the fact that they charged the card before we even arrived, especially since we were planning on paying with a card different from the one we booked with. The swimming pool was extremely cold - not like regular hotel pools. Was very disappointing for my kids. Overall felt like management was barely keeping up with what was necessary and cutting corners wherever they could. Very irritated, given that they'd hiked the price up for the kids competitions that were happening around town. We paid around $350 for a dirty room that really did the Wyndham line a disservice.
