The hotel shows its age. It hasn’t been updated, to my knowledge, since it was built. The heating system is analog and had to be adjusted three times in the night to the point when I ended up turning it off. Ceiling tiles were stained. The TV wasn’t smart and couldn’t be used for apps like Netflix. There was no telephone in the room.

Overall, this is a nice, clean hotel. Unfortunately, the lock to our room did not work, was (downgraded) to another room, but once that I brought the difference in room that we were delegated to, we were upgraded to a very nice room. Because of the time it took for all the changing of room, we weren't able to spend much time enjoying our room as we had a concert to attend. The staff were very nice!!!

Requested an early check-in for 2pm and our room was ready. The room was very clean and comfortable. Could use a few more hangers in the closet but if we asked they would have been provided. The front lobby was attractive and very clean as was the breakfast area

The hotel is nice, a little dated. Unfortunately there web site was not up to date so they actually don't have a hot tub. The pool was freezing,which was a big disappointment because part of our getaway was wanting to swim, we don't get away very often. The breakfast was amazing, tons of choices, great scramble eggs. Beds were comfortable. The rooms were very hot, so we didn't sleep very good.

Unacceptable

The conditions here are less than satisfactory which I would be able to over look. Although there were a few key issues I can not. 1. The heated pool was not heated upon arrival which was the reason we chose this hotel in the first place. This is text book false advertisement and is against the law. 2. The internet is not working in our room which is also apart of services advertised on your website. This has completely ruined our family vacation and I am requesting a full refund. Excellent Staff & Great Room

This was our first time staying at the Stone Gate Inn in Orillia. We will definitely be back! The young lady who welcomed us to the hotel was so professional and friendly. Our room was very clean and I love how they offer blue bins for recycling. More hotels should do this!!! The complementary breakfast was lovely with a nice selection. Thanks for a great stay! You didn't disappoint.

The property is in a perfect spot. The staff were friendly but did not seem to be able to offer up to date help if you need photo copy etc. if you are staying for business. The rooms were a bit dirty (including bathroom) and not up to date with plugs for phones etc. Lamps were old and damaged and bedding ripped in places. The dining area had dirty table clothes and you had to look for staff if you needed more coffee or something cooked.

Beds and pillows are comfortable. Rooms are spacious and clean. TV was too dark and could not turn the closed captioning off as there was no remote to make the changes.
