Good value in Switzerland!

We only stayed one night but location was good coming from airport on the bus. Also tram stops right putside hotel.Some vibration from trams but not particularly noisy. Large room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Staff very helpful with perfect English. Breakfast excellent with lots of choice and tea or coffee served at our table.

The Schweizerhof is a very modern and comfortable hotel. Quiet and comfortable rooms. The hotel has excellent facilities including a bar on the ground and ice and fresh water rooms on each floor. The breakfast was great. Great transport links with the train and tram outside. I liked as a hotel guest the hotel gives you a free pass around Basel. I highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, conveniently located near the train and the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. We loved our stay. The best part was the staff who were so accommodating. We had an extremely difficult journey to get to Basel due to our train being canceled, and the front desk woman so graciously allowed us to check in early. It honestly made our first day in Switzerland such a dream. I will look for their hotels whenever I travel.

A lovely hotel, so welcoming. Spacious, clean single room at the front overlooking the trams, as I requested. Excellent WiFi / internet. UK channels on the TV and a kettle for a cuppa. Recommended.

Lovely hotel. Great location by the train station. If you're looking for something in the city center, this might not be the hotel for you - but as a someone pass through and stopping in Basel for a night, it was perfect. Affordable for Switzerland. Very large rooms. We were there during a heatwave and not only was the AC great, but the hotel had ice and water. Very good internet (I had some work video calls and was a little nervous after traveling to some other hotels around Europe). Would 100% stay there again. Felt like it was a great find.

Great location! Next to the main train station and the major tram stops is right in front of the hotel. Grocery stores are only 1-2 mins away. Staff were great. Shout out to Jay and Thomas for great recommendations. Housekeeping also super nice and friendly. Breakfast was good but it would be better if there are more varieties. We stayed there for 6 nights and majority of items were the same.

We had a great experience staying at the Schweitzerhof Basel! We found breakfast to be quite good , the staff extremely helpful and friendly and the bed was very comfortable. It is just a few yards from the central train station, which was very convenient, as we arrived by train and its quite well located to walking around the alt stadt.

This is a great hotel - perfect if being near the main station/transport is important. It’s a very traditional place in terms of decor but everything was immaculate and well looked after - our room was really spacious and even had an exercise bike which we weren’t expecting! The staff were all lovely and super helpful.
