A great 1 night stay. From the first welcome, an excellent room, a good nights slerp and a great breakfast not sure what else to add. Be aware though that traffic noise in our room may annoy some people, luckily not us but ear plugs were provided if needed.

What a wonderful place to stay

What a wonderful place to stay in Frome. Built in 1604, it is a fantastic house. The rooms are lovely & Claire is a fantastic host - wonderful breakfast on bot h days for us. We would highly recommend Rook Lane House.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. Our room was spacious and very clean complimented by historical features. Breakfast was superb, Claire was a great host. Ideally situated to explore Frome. Highly recommended!

The room was delightful in looks. The host was fantastic in ensuring w ehad what we needed. The room faced a main road, this did mean that despite double glazing the sound of the road was heard easily throughout the night which made sleep difficult at times. Breakfast was provided, it was alright. I was surprised at some of the portion size, I would have expected a bit more than a quarter of black pudding slice and a spoon full of beans. Sausages were advertised, but provided chipolatas. It was a quaint stay, and the host was delightful, but I can't say I would rush back

This is in a very old house, but they have renovated to a very high standard. The rooms and facilities are comfortable, the host is fantastic, and the breakfast was great. Warm and welcoming, this was a great break from work. The town of Frome had the festival on and all the little shops and old lanes had put on such a great time for us even with the rain.

Claire was by far the most incredible host I've ever had the pleasure of staying with. She was so kind and helpful and made the entire experience so enjoyable. I couldn't recommend Rook Lane House enough if you plan on coming through Frome. It's a 13 minute walk from the Frome train station, and a 5 minute walk to the "downtown" area. The homemade breakfast was also fantastic. I will definitely be staying here again if I come back!

Little Gem

Great experience from start to finish. Claire was helpful and friendly and cooked an amazing breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, and we had a great nights sleep. Parking was secure, and the House is within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and bars serving great food. We will stay again when next in Frome, highly recommended.
