The staff was very friendly, but the room we were in was not what was advertised. The paint was chipping off of the trim, the bathroom had rotten wood that was painted over and a part of it was exposed along the bottom, the air conditioner cover was not fastened to the wall except for 1 corner, there was a puddle of water (3 feet in diameter) on the carpeted hallway by the elevator that I had to bring to the staff’s attention, and after the cleaning crew came in to make our beds while we were gone, I had to ask for toilet paper and towels because none were left. There is a definite maintenance issue with this hotel, and I will most likely never stay there again. I was on a trip with my elderly mother who was there for the last time to visit her relatives, and we thought we had booked a room with a walk in shower, but we were given a room with a tub that my mom could not get into. There was water damage in the bathroom that has not been replaced. The couch in the room is VERY uncomfortable. We asked for a different room the next morning and every day for the next few days, but we were told there were none available (even after people checked out). The website advertised a free breakfast, but that is false - there is breakfast, but you pay for it … and it is not cheap (and it is only available until 9:30 a.m.). The only coffee available is Starbucks that you pay for. I’m unable to comment on the pool or hot tub since I did not utilize it.

The staff was wonderful — courteous, kind. The hotel seemed very clean. Our room, however, seemed to be lacking furniture. The finishing touches that make the room appear like the pictures online (headboards, sitting chair) were missing. Our view included cinder blocks on the roof and television satellites. It was fine for a night, but not inspiring for an additional stay.
