Our expectations for a 4 star hotel were not met . Especially relative to the price . We have traveled extensively and found amenities lacking . However , the staff were very friendly and the location was excellent .

Bait and Switch. STAY AWAY

We booked this because of the strong ratings and good location. The staff was actually really great and the breakfast was OK (not included). Otherwise, we were put across the street in what appeared to be a storage room of some kind. Complete disrepair, filthy, dark and dingy with broken furniture, bad smell, and dirty floors. It had a small back garden with a bunch of outdoor furniture stacked up in the corner (never went out there). Mattresses very very old. It was a 3 level unit with all the doors locked on the top floor (creepy). Probably the worst hotel room for the money (and I paid a lot) I have ever had in 40 years of international travel. The proper hotel across the street did not appear full either as we were past peak season. Whole thing seemed like an obvious bait and switch.

This was our favorite hotel during our 8 night trip to Europe. We stayed 2 nights. The staff couldn't have treated us any better. We mentioned a gluten allergy at checkin and they had multiple bread options available at breakfast. They were also helpful when we asked for recommendations. The hotel is well maintained and it was easy to walk to restaurants and shops.

Cozy and Chic.

This is an utterly charming hotel in beautiful Bayeux. Upon arrival Clemance helped us to rent a car for the next day so that we could visit the D-Day landing. We stupidly thought we could uber everywhere and we were so grateful that Clemance took it upon herself to enquire as to what are plans were. The room was very spacious and clean. We did not dine at the hotel but we did enjoy a couple of drinks there one evening. It's a perfect place to relax and I would be delighted to recommend this restaurant.

Great location and comfortable spacious rooms.

The Belle Normandy was in an excellent location and the rooms were very comfortable and felt particularly spacious after a few nights in Paris! The hotel was a short walk from anything you’d want to see in Bayeux and the proprietors were friendly and helpful. Parking, which I had been worried about, turned out to be very easy - and Vince the location was so convenient, once I parked, we didn’t need our car for the rest of our stay there.

The hotel was very nice and the room accommodated our family of five comfortably. There was a large smart tv in the room and a spacious bathroom with shower and tub. The location was perfect as it allowed us to walk everywhere with ease (cathedral, museum, tapestry, restaurants and shops).

Wonderful hitel.

The staff were wonderful, very attentive and friendly. We were in a stand alone house operated by the hotel. The only issue we believe exists, is the need for additional seating in the common area. Such as a large sofa. The location is a few minute walk to shops, restaurants, and the tapestry. A great home base for Normandy battle sights.

The room was quite small and the beds were two twin beds put together that were not the most comfortable but not too bad. The area around the property was great. Lots to see and lots of shopping. The breakfast was at best average for 21E per person. Small selection and not much variety. Communication at the front desk was limited because of the language barrier and I was given no information on the extra cost for parking or breakfast cost.
