Nice hotel generally but quality has slipped
I’ve enjoyed staying at this hotel, but it’s not as nice as it used to be. The staff are friendly but some seem not well trained. The hotel is nice, but is it worth the money? Feels like the hotel is not as well managed as it used to be. The spa upstairs is very run down and the steam sauna has been broken for months, with no indication of when it will be fixed. The bathroom in my room was not very clean, a bit moldy and gunk on the floor. The breakfast is one of the nicest of any hotel I’ve stayed at but the quality has slipped recently.

My first stay at Kempinski, Beijing Yansha
I stayed twice, June 29 and July 7, 2024. Both times I did enjoy my stay. All in all the services were excellent and the attitude, as well as friendliness of personnel, made me feel like I knew them before. Breakfast and food at the Italian Restaurant were superb and delicate. Unfortunately, the Wienerschnitzel at German Beer Garden & Cafe was not quite fresh, but still enjoyable. Ivy at the Reception gave me the best advice and directions for Beijing. Thanks

They gonna ask you go upgrade for 200 RMB, although it’s totally okay if you don’t, but the original room is not in very well maintained, not sure their purpose of not renovating all the rooms. Not recommend to anyone, plenty of hotels to choose if you add the additional 200.

Great surroundings, but problems persist
I stayed the place because of the surrounding environment, good place to walk around in the back of the hotel, lovely and renovated outdoor place is a great attraction. The hotel’s management team is a huge disappointment, guests smoke inside the rooms with doors open which the entire hall way was filled with smoke, guests smoking in the bar/coffee, I reported to the front desk, with little result. I understood there are always small groups of people destroy a culture of good behavior and concern of others due to their ignorance and stupidity. These selfish and idiotic people don’t deserve the facilities.
