Wish there was a 3.5 rating to give - but right that given 3 rather than 4. It was a nice resort, really nice, but compared to other 5 stars previously, not quite worth the price tag. Maybe expecting too much from beech resort 5 star but don't think so.

I could not praise the staff enough at this hotel - they are all so friendly, helpful and super attentive. The food options were excellent and the buffet meals changed daily (with a few consistent staples. Whilst I agree with some reviews that the rooms are a bit outdated - they were always cleaned properly. The rest of the hotel was not outdated (and who spends enough time in the hotel room to care about it being outdated) and had a good blend of natural elements to make every part of the hotel enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

If you're thinking of staying here, I would say DON'T. This hotel is NOT 5* nor is it a 4. I would say it's a 3 at a push. We arrived just after 3pm and the room was not ready. The initial room we were given was 513 and the air conditioning did not work. That night, I suffered 100 mosquito bites. No joke. Not even lying. We went down to reception to ask if they would look at the a/c and they sent a maintenance man up to have a look. He said it was fixed when he changed it from 'cool' to 'fan'. This did not work and the room was still like a sauna. Asked again for someone to look at the unit where this time, 2 men turned up and said it needed gas. It doesn't need gas, it needs a whole new system! Wasn't happy as this a/c still wasn't working either so they upgraded us to a villa. The 1st villa, guess what? The a/c didn't workl! Finally, room 433 had working a/c. This room was bigger but it also came with ants in the bed. I get this is a tropical country but really?? The lamps didn't work, the TV had 4 channels and the batteries in thee rmotes had seen better days. I've ve come away lost weight, but also going home with diabetes and high blood pressure.

Great stay! The hotel is brand new and in a really convenient location, very close to the main tourist street/alley where you’ll find all the bars and restaurants. The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and always smiling, both day and night. Breakfast is included, which is a great bonus and made the stay even better. The only small issue was the water in the shower, but this seems to be a general water issue across the island rather than a problem with the hotel itself. Overall, a lovely place to stay with great staff and a fantastic location

Accommodation is very dated. Website photos do not reflect the hotel. Many of the properties on the resort are old and dilapidated. Wifi in room was the worst I have experienced in the last 10 years and we was lied to about this. For example you will have Wi-Fi on the sofa but less than three metres away you can’t use Wi-Fi in the bed to make a phone call. It was that bad. It was explained as a blackout across Cape Verde however good internet in bar area and other parts of Sal. Friendly and helpful staff especially Duke and the restaurant and bar staff. Free shuttle to Santa Maria twice a day was useful.
