One of two lights in the room blew within 15 mins of my arrival and was flickering the moment I turned it on. The remote for the TV was broken so it didn’t adjust volume. The blanket was very light and there wasn’t an extra in the room. The operator forwarded a phone call to my phone at 3.45am and the person didn’t complete the call (they hung up). The room didn’t come with a tub. The room shook with a train going by.

This used to be a beautiful property. The staff were very kind but the room i stayed in was in real need of a renovation. It would be great to see this hotel brought back to its former glory.

Just adequate room in a shabby hotel
Bathroom not clean. Very worn and shabby room. Couldn't turn heat up to be warm enough, nor was there an extra blanket. Only one bedside table and lamp in a room for two. Coffee maker cord wouldn't reach outlet!

There was water damage in the closet and around the ceiling, reported what looked like black mildew but staff staff did nothing. The included breakfast was simple but well laid out, the attendant working at breakfast buffet was extremely helpful and attentive to guests.

The property is old and is being refurbished bit by bit. The pillows were very uncomfortable and the blankets and sheets had definitely seen better days. The bed was on a cheap, standard bedframe on rollers and each time one of us got out of bed or went to sit down the bed would slide on the tile floor. The free breakfast was very limited compared to other hotels I have stayed at. The parking lot was very poorly lit but finding parking wasnt a problem. Stay was ok but wouldnt return.

Good location, pay what you get
Very friendly staff, hotel is outdated but hey you pay for what you get and if you want to be close to sandbanks, it’s super ideal. Lacks soundproofing, you can hear absolutely everything, even others using the bathroom.
