Will not stay here again

The hotel staff need a bit of a pick-me-up. Smiles and customer service training should be taught and implemented! The floors of the rooms were really filthy. Pool not open. Breakfast bar so-so. I've stayed at cheaper hotels in BH with better quality all-around.

For a suite I expected a little nicer place. The mattress was clearly worn and old. They did not fill up the mini bar, overall was not hugely impressed

Hotel Sol Belo Horizonte

We had a good stay at Hotel Sol Belo horizote. We had lot of help from CLeber, a reservation staff member who spoke perfect English. He found information about bus to Ouro Pretoria that helped us lot. On our return trip we stayed again at the hotel because of the helpful staff.

Buyer beware!

This hotel is not even close to a 3. 5 star hotel. Nasty, dirty, filthy hotel. Breakfast was terrible. I read the reviews and was I mislead. Staff is nice, hotel run down,no cable, and I was stuck in the elavator not once but twice.stay away,beware!!I wouldn't let my dogs stay here!!!!

Room was not clean but acceptable. Breakfast was not satisfactory... We had milk that was already spoiled. Overall breakfast was not great, just acceptable. Nice thing is the great location especially if you will ever there on a Sunday...the street fair is just a block or two away.

Disappointed, there was confusion over my payment, facilities in the room were poor, broken lamps, switches etc. lobby area outside room was not lit properly with dirty plates left all day, a booked airport taxi was arranged privately so price had to be haggled.I would not stay in the noisy centre again. I'll choose a better hotel for a business trip

Great location and wonderful staff

We wanted to stay near the park downtown and near restaurants. This place was perfect! The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again as my first choice!

Great location with payed car parking.

Great location with car parking, the guys there are all friendly and helpful. I would recommend to everyone. Negatives: Only thing they need to change is the breakfast. I couldn't even swallow my coffee. Told the staff so and so maybe they will make changes in the future.

OK, but the price!

The most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world, no doubt because if the Football World Cup. Restaurant staff do not speak English so someone from reception had to come and translate for each meal. Buffet breakfast included in the price, but very average. Handy location in City centre, but staff not aware of what tourists can do by way of sightseeing. Overall, very disapointing in view of the price charged.

A good hotel, probably a great one for the area. A couple of issues: the air con was loud and the shower drain was blocked. I'm sure they would've moved me had I asked but I arrived late and was leaving early so didn't both. Great for the price. Recommended.

Great hotel in the centre of Belo Horizonte

Very close to the Conexao bus direct to and from CNF airport. Great friendly staff. Several speak excellent English and enjoy showing it, very useful! Great breakfast buffet. Room itself was a standard Best Western quality.

Two different nights

We stayed at the Sol for two nights. Different rooms and spaced 4 nights apart. The staff were terrific, helpful and considerate and we worked together across the language barriers. The rooms were fine. Lots of space, clean and comfortable. Close to the airport bus and some restaurants for a quick meal. The first night was great, air conditioned and quiet. The second night a different story. No air movement in the room, and noisy. Would we stay there again? Not sure.

Helpful staff, clean and welcoming

The staff at this hotel went out of their way to assist us getting into and out of Belo Horizonte. The hotel is well situated and the rooms are well sized and contain all that we required for our stay. Breakfast was adequate and had a reasonable selection of food. We will stay there again.

I was disappointed with the Internet connection, air condition and rooms services. Corridors and towels smell very bad. I don't recommend this place. (Sorry for my bad comments)

Friendly staff

We stayed in this hotel for just one day. We had very good experience. The only negative point was that, the receptionist arranged a taxi for us to give us a tour of side seeing but they didn't know that they are closed at 4. It was waste of time and money for us!

Very nice hotel in the center of BH.

Stayed there for a night and the hotel is in good condition. We got upgraded in a suite because the hotel was full already. Nice view on the city from up there. The buffet breakfast is fine with enough choice in my opinion. The only thing was the noisy AC Unit in the room. We had to switch it off to sleep.
