Staff was a bit “unfriendly” but likely due to being frazzled from the recent storm that went through. We were told there was only one staff and 2 housekeepers.
Didn't care for the pillows, flat. No breakfast, but most don't have anything anymore.

The shower was excellent.
The room has an overwhelming smell of dirty socks. Carpet was filthy. Didn’t take off shoes. We didn’t sleep there with concerns about cleanliness of linens.

For the price the room was small. The manager on duty at check-in was not friendly and did not offer a greeting of any kind. We had a tornado situation over night. The staff did a good job of alerting all guests but then did not provide any further information. The stairwell emergency lights were turned off the next morning when we departed so we had to walk down pitch black stairs due to the power outage. In general I felt they did okay BUT they were NOT prepared for this or any emergency.
Front desk people were rude. We got locked out of the building and our things were still in there! Bad weather caused damage to the entire city. When we returned from the family reunion in another city, we were locked out! No sign on the door. The phones were out. The police couldn’t get us in, the fire department couldn’t get us in. One of us was insulin dependent and the medication was locked in the hotel. The hotel had a responsibility to us! We had reservations! We left our belongings in our rooms!! We stood in the parking lot for 3 hours! An employee showed up and didn’t have a key. He contacted the manager. We waited another 45 minutes. The manager didn’t speak to us. The employee let us in, we got our stuff. THIS IS WRONG!!!

We slept well until 1:00 am when we were instructed to go to stairwell due to weather. Power went out at that time. We slept the rest of the night after storms went away. We checked out that morning due to power outage and were not able to spend our next two nights there.
Well there was a storm the night before! No communication to us as that of the hotel being closed when we arrived. No answer by phone, no email nothing!!
Our stay was just alright. The front desk only activated our key card for one night, when we were staying for three. So, we couldn’t get into our room the second night for awhile. Nobody informed us that we needed to tell the front desk to clean our room and give us clean towels. When they did “clean” our room, they made the bed and left the bathroom as we had left it. They did not remove the dirty towels or replenish them. Our toilet backed up EVERYTIME we flushed it. Even with the smallest bit of tissue, we had to use the plunger that was in our bathroom. We are assuming that they knew of this issue because of the fact that there was a plunger in our room. We also had a jetted bathtub in our room (which we did not use) due to the fact that it looked like it had some black mold growing in the jets.
Nice but a grab and go breakfast of some sort would be nice. Only coffee provided in lobby and the second floor has an entire food service balcony going unused.
