The entire expericance sucked. From when we walked in there was a strange smell, then we had to call for an attened that took his time to get to the desk. Then once we got our card, it didnt work, so we had to go back, call, and get a new card. Then he followed us up where the card didnt work again, but then he tried the master key, which worked, and insisted we go in the room. I said no to the idea and said I wanted a key card that worked, so we had to go back and then get a whole different room. The door worked for the new room, but the room want cleaned at all, there where stuff there still from who ever was there last, tv didnt work at all when playing with it for a half hour. AC surpisingly somewhat kept up, but the bed was terriable. The sheets made me itch bad, not including the fact of everytime you move you hear sheet metal bend and made noise. We barely slept at all thag night with a total of 2 hours, between us both, and once it was morning we just grabbed our stuff and left. There was no free breakfast at all, just the coffee machine and juice maker with gronoal bars. Overall if your are in a pinch and need a night to stay, you are better off the spend the night down the highway at other hotels, or beter yet going to the truck stop and spending the night in your car.

The walk into the motel was sketchy, therr were two rough looking men outside sitting on curb about 10ft from the entrance openly drinking and smoking. When inside the smell of cleaning fluids and burnt food knocked us down when we walked in . The place was run down and not clean. Hall carpet was disgusting. When we opened our room it smelled heavy of cigar smoke and the bed also smelled. We imediately went to front desk to leave. We asked for a refund and were told we have to go thru expedia.

Barely acceptable

Very stuffy feeling in room especially when a/c turns off. Toilet was already clogged upon arrival and man at desk had to plunge it for us. He did not appear very happy or willing to do it however. Lots of little crumbs in the corners by the fridge as well. Would never stay here for any rate over 100/night. Its honestly worth barely 75.

We really enjoyed our stay. A great room for the price. The gentleman checking us in was very friendly and helpful. We got checked right in with no issue. The room was clean and exactly what we needed. We also noted the colorful lights on the outside of the building at night and they look really nice. 👍

The staff was exceptional. Personally escorted us to our room when our key wouldn't work and then immediately, without hesitation, changed our rooms when our a/c didn't work. Room was very nice and clean. The ONLY issue we had was the smell of curry every time we entered the hotel.

Dirty and gross!

Room was filthy, especially the floors. There was even a used toothpick on the floor. Furniture was all dusty even the phone. The bed and bathroom were reasonably clean. The shower controls were in poor condition and hard to work. Bed was ok. Internet was good. I will never stay at another Speer 8 Motel again!

NEVER AGAIN

After requesting to be on the first floor three times because our party was disabled, we were placed on the third floor (this establishment has no elevator). The rooms were unclean and musty. The TV reception was spotty, and there was blood on the mattress protector pad. The breakfast consisted of a Nutri-Grain bar or gas station muffin. I will not be back here and I do not recommend staying here. The hotel lobby and drink dispensers were dirty and the hotel staff could either speak or understand English very well. Leave keys in drope”box. 😂

The room we were assigned was very dirty... left over garbage on the floor from the previous guests, dirty tub and shower wall. The floor was absolutely disgusting. Staff was friendly though.
