Great hotel, close to the fun part of Bergen. The hotel provide at 4:00 pm sweets and tea complementary and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm soup and salads, complementary as well. Excellent Hotel

The hotel is located right next to the Bryggen houses, which may very well be the #1 site to see in Norway. It is walking distance to pretty much everything you want to do and see. Great staff. Breakfast, an afternoon tea, and light dinner are included in the cost. Ask for a key to The Tower- it’s pretty cool.

Excellent location, great building and comfortable room. Breakfast was good slots of choice and lounge area was very nice - I would use it again in a flash. Only downside was the lift was a bit temperamental.

The hotel was fantastic. The location was superb, the staff were friendly. The food was superb and a great surprise about what was included so it really helped us. The only thing was the beds were very soft and the room view was directly into an office block so had the leave the curtains closed but these were just small things. Overall we had a fantastic time.

Great location. Walkable to everything around the wharf. Great lobby. Rooms need a minor facelift. You must request that your room be cleaned and that was not indicated when we booked nor when we checked in. Breakfast is wonderful. Dinner OK.

The hotel was beautiful with its gothic architecture. The lobby area was very unique with many cozy sitting areas to relax with a glass of wine. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We would stay here if in Bergen again. It is also very convenient for walking to the cruise ships.

Excellent location in the heart of Bergen’s historic centre. The hotel was clean and comfortable with attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options available on the buffet. The light meal in the evening (included in our stay) was just what we needed, and far better and tastier than we thought it would be.

We stayed twice, the second time for a week. The staff is friendly and competent. The location is great -- easy walk to most of the major sites, right on the harbor, near several bus lines, and the bus to the airport stops right next to the hotel. The location is convenient enough that we used it instead of public toilets (which can be difficult to find, and may be pay WCs). There is a grocery store and several eateries nearby, from fast and cheap to gourmet and pricey. The hotel serves a nice breakfast buffet with reasonable hours. The selection is quite good. Patrons with allergies, who avoid gluten, and vegans will find choices for them. In many Norwegian hotels, breakfast is included in the price of the room, but what is rare is that dinner and a late afternoon snack are also included here. The snack is usually just a small square of cake (although you can help yourself to more) plus coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. We skipped the snack more often than not, though. It was okay, but not particularly impressive, and we were usually out and about at that time. Dinner is meant to be light, but it was sufficiently satisfying for us. There are usually several different salads, a couple of hot entrees and sides, plus a soup. And if course, there's always great Norwegian bread. They change the entrees every night. The food was good, and it was convenient to have dinner available, plus it saves quite a bit of money. Americans should ask how the thermostat works -- it's different.

The staff was very accommodating. We had an issue parking a rental car where they said it could be parked and they kept taking care of it. For our troubles our room was upgraded and that was very nice of them. The hotel is clean, the breakfast was delicious and the location is very convenient to many of the attractions. Thank you
