Great location, close to the main harbour, fish market & attractions. Easily walkable to most parts of the central city, but also on bus routes. The room was comfy, but lacked hooks, shelves, storage. So if you are staying for a few nights you are living out of your suitcase.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel mainly because of the room that was: very modern, new, clean, spacious & comfortable. The included breakfast was a buffet with very good & tasty selection (warm & cold). The location was perfect: most of the important objectives are in a walkable distance. Cons: hallways were dull & narrow; tv had only 1 English channel (UK BBC); no conditioner; room service only on request.

Online reservations were made and a day added and confirmed by the hotel. On day of checkin they said res was one night, not two. I provided my documentation and they said make another reservation. Arriving at the hotel the front desk recognized their error but now I had an additional night. The bill showed the price for the last minute booking, not the price I had reserved three months prior. I explained again and it was corrected. Convenient location, close to bus, train and attractions. A stressful start to my trip to Bergen.

The property was very convenient to the City Center and Fish market area. The room was ok but the shower was difficult to use and water went everywhere. The area outside was very noisy for most of the night and some unsavory characters were around the street in front.

Loved it !
The Magic Hotel in Bergen was a 10 minute walk from the train station, as well as 10 minute walk to the light rail to get to the airport. It was very close to the harbour area of Bergen, and to the downtown/city center areas. The included breakfast was very good!

Comfortable enough for short stay
TV remote in room had no batteries, when I finally got TV switched on there was no audio or pictures on any channel! Luckily i wasn't on holiday to watch TV! There was an empty bottle of wine behind the TV too! Room compact and very little storage space. Comfortable bed. No door on shower so bathroom floor gets very wet, and lighting in bathroom not great. Hotel in a superb location in town centre close to main attractions, transport, bars, restaurants and convenience stores. However the area immediately outside hotel attracted a lot of homeless and addicts in the late afternoon/evening, rubbish in nearby streets. Room noisy at night due to thin windows and location in nightlife area. Good choice at the breakfast buffet and 15% off the adjacent Italian restaurant. Lift out of order when arrived but fixed quickly. Friendly reception staff.

Not much magic
Very basic. Room was difficult to find at first, receptionist unclear with directions. Room adequate but too warm and lighting didn’t appear to have switches. Breakfast somewhat depressing. All in all fine for a night but there are better options.

A modern well kept hotel entered via the REMA1000 supermarket. I found the external noise until gone 2am, happened by a group of many persons less fortunate than many, around the church opposite very intrusive. I would also give that corner of the square a wide berth. The room was compact but clean and a good breakfast was offered.

The breakfast spread was fantastic. There were so many unique options that made it stand out from other hotels. We also loved that they had individual body wash, shampoo, and lotion available. Sometimes I'm hesitant to use the big bottles that are used guest after guest at many hotels nowadays, but didn't have to deal with that worry here. The hotel is easy walking distance to the funicular. It's also walkable to the train station, though a bit longer of a walk.

Definitely not quiet as all the bars stay open until 200 am or so but lively hotel .breakfast was delicious and Dean and hotel very clean . Biggest drawback other than night time noise was bathroom shock timely flooded . We learned most hotels have a drainage issue in Norway !

The room was clean, modern and funky, with cool decor. The front desk staff were extremely helpful with giving us recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Bergen as well as with book us a taxi to the airport. The location was conveniently close to the train station and the Bryggen waterfront as well as many restaurants. However, it was pretty loud at night with people outside on the street. The bathroom also had a transparent pane that meant that if someone had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and turned on the light, the light would bleed into the whole room - the glass was positioned directly opposite the pillows on one side of the bed. The shower also had no door and a small lip and water splashed over the entire bathroom so we had to dry it because it was slippery.

This one is probably the worst I’ve ever lived. The shower has no door, no shower pan, no tub, only floor slab to catch water. It get water all over the place after bath and gets dangerously slippery. Highly not recommended! Ps, no ice machine and no ice at all…..
