The hotel is great and so central and they serve a wonderful big breakfast. The staff are amazing especially Jenny. BUT I would never stay here again as the area is VERY noisy. I was there over the weekend and there were people talking and shouting in the streets till 4 AM. I just couldn’t sleep. The receptionist actually handed me ear plugs and it still didn’t help. The windows are not sound proof and it really is extremely distressing at night. This just spoils the good things about the property!

Pleasant responsive staff, good harbor location, great breakfast. Very noisy at night if room on side where cafes/bars are. Standard double room very very small. Normally that size works well for us. Paid to upgrade to superior room. Was on noisy side of hotel with loud noise until 3 am. Bathroom door did not close. Stayed six mights total.

Shops, bars and nightclubs nearby- but that means it was very loud in the room on Saturday night until about 2:30am. We used a couple white noise apps on two phones and were able to drown it out and go to sleep though.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, though I would have liked more plant-based options. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Close to all the attractions, shopping centres and just a 5-minute walk to the light rail station. My room was on level 3, but I could hear the noise from outside. The room is not soundproof.

The property itself was well-maintained and managed. The only concern was the process to obtain parking for those who brought a vehicle, but with some questions and assistance from the staff, that too was solved.

Great place to stay in the centre of medieval Bergen. Loads of bar and restaurant options, close funicular, shopping and fish market. Loved it here.

The wine bar that was open next door was so loud it was impossible to sleep. Great location except for our room location. I wouldn’t advise staying here unless your sleep schedule is after 2am.

The actual room was very much different from the picture shows in Expedia booking. When I asked the front desk if they gave me the wrong room, I was told that they have so many different rooms and can’t list out every single one. I was told that I can file my complaints with Expedia or the hotel. The room I booked is for two people. The space is for one person but they put a double bed so it can accommodate two. Due to it, there is only space left for a carry on luggage. The shower is small with no curtain or door. Water splashed all over the bathroom and is very slippery.

Very convenient location but it comes with noise on the weekend. People outside were very loud till 3am. Water pressure of the shower was very weak.

Hotel was fine and even though I had a larger of an average standard room, it was by my standards small without a desk or place to store clothing. Additionally bathroom while adequate and size did not have shower door so the floor would get wet continuously which is not something I equate four star luxury comfort.

Really happy with my stay at this property. Great location, central to downtown, fun vibe, AMAZING FREE BREAKFAST, and nice staff. No view from my room but I knew that before hand, I didn’t however know/realize that you have to go back outside to get to my room, it wasn’t a problem since it was August but in other months I would have been upset that I wasn’t told that prior. Our AC also didn’t seem to work at all, there seems to me an only bit of cool air coming from the vent but it is then completely blocked by the hood of the bed. I suspect they know this because they leave a fan in the room. The shower also floods the bathroom like crazy, again they give you a floor squeegee so it guessing this is a well known issue. I was also surprised there was no hand lotion or normal amenities other than shampoo and body wash in the bathroom, they have signs posted with the prices for ten and it felt very tacky. Happy the have a locked luggage room that you need a key for.
