Front desk staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious enough and quite comfortable. The breakfast was terrific! Good location for walking around Bergen.

Central downtown further west, but very close, to the Bryggen area and the castle/fortress. A short walk from everything surrounding Vågen, but a very quiet area.

This is one of the two hotels I stayed in Bergen. I have to say that this is by far the more superior choice than Skostredet. The room (including bathroom) is much more spacious; breakfast much better; service from front desk staff to dining room staff all consistently provide a warm, welcoming and helpful demeanor. During my 3 night stay in Bergen, this is where I felt the Norwegian hospitality. And oh, the rate is much more reasonable than other places with similar amenities and services.

Comfortable and convenient

Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast buffet had lots of options. Very friendly staff. Near to waterfront and lots of restaurants. Solo traveler and felt safe walking around.

My third time staying at this hotel. It always offers good value for money, good breakfast to set you up for the day, friendly and helpful staff and a good location. A great base to explore Bergen. Will be back again next year!

We would definitely come back as it ticked (nearly) all our boxes : great location with a nice view, quiet but within direct reach of vibrant Bryggen, clean and modern spaces and rooms, large and delicious breakfast range, kind and smiling staff. The only reasons for withholding a star were: not much storage space a large mobile phone mast just outside our window - so in the event of staying again, we would ask for a room at a lower level.

Excellent buffet breakfast as per all Thon group of hotels has and the room size was decent. Poor soundproofing of the rooms, I could hear the person in the room beside snoring and also for cases when people were moving the room chair. Reception was helpful and friendly.
