The hotel is very well located and in excellent condition. Being one street off of the main shopping/bar scene made it quiet at night. Bathroom is very tight but functional. Bed comfortable and our room was spacious (540). My wife is sensitive to light and the room can be made perfectly dark. All around perfect fir a shirt stay.

Love the historic hotel and view of the lake. The bar tender was very accommodating to help us with dinner in the lounge. The only negative was a pushy drunk that was roaming around interrupting us.

Clean comfortable room. DELICIOUS BREAKFAST with lots of variety. Very helpful staff. There are plenty of restaurants and cute shops not to mention the wharf area. Great location and so walkable. Surrounded by many attractions and near the Bergen Visitor Center. The main square is only a few blocks away. The airport shuttle (Flybussen) is a couple blocks away at Bus Stop D. If you turn left out of the hotel, you can miss all the cobblestone down to the bus stop, it's about a 3- or 4-minute walk. I enjoyed my stay, would definitely stay here again.

Bedroom was in need of redesign. Tv within a floor to ceiling structure at end of the bed. This divided the small room in two making the seating area feel very cramped. Glad only stayed 1 night, a 2nd night there would have been intolerable.

Bedrooms on both visits seemed tired and in need of a redesign. Bedroom corridors also very tired with strange large numbering on doors. Was intending to cancel second visit and book somewhere else, but too busy until too late to rebook.

I stayed here for two nights, the bed was heavenly. It is centrally located to the tourist area, as well as the bus to get to the airport. My only complaint was given the nice wood floors. I can hear people dragging furniture at all times of day and night. Putting pads on the bottom of the furniture would be much appreciated. It was really hard to sleep sometimes, and it would protect their floors too. Breakfast was great, it is the only hotel in Norway that had a decent size coffee cup (I am American, we like a big cup in the morning). I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Bergen
