Old Charlottenburg.
A real old world charmer. Room was huge, bathroom ‘in a closet’ was small but comfortable for us. The location perfect for exploring C’burg, Zoo, Ku’damm, etc, etc. 10 minute walk from a main rail and U-bahn hub; 5 minutes from several U-bahn lines. Lovely lobby/dining and cute gifts. The Gasthaus down the street is typically old style Berlin and good food for most every (including vegetarian) tastes.

The staff was fantastic and attentive. Breakfast was marvelous. I love that you can grab a coffee any time of day and that they offer creative Abendbrot in the evening. My only complaint is that WLAN was spotty. Loved the sweet old-fashioned vibe.

The hotel is old and smells musty like an old house. The wooden floorboards creaked. One had the feeling that the place was haunted. Location is great: 15 minutes walk to Zoo station, SB's: Re trains. Many restaurants in the area, including Starbucks.

Staff is friendly and helpful, unique building with character. Room is spacious however very minimal in decor and bed is rather firm with comforter that was significantly smaller than mattress. Good location with lots of dining and shopping options

Not our type of hotel.
Upon arrival the paintwork is quite tatty around the entrsnce. 1st impressions matter. The hotel is VERY quirky...a bit likexThe Addams Family. Very dark, almost black painred walls and very datk coloyrs. A bit too sinister for my liking but others may like this.Room very tired. Although clean we did find hairs on the sheets. Pillows were saggy and not comfortable. Having said all of this, the location was very good. It might be good for other people but not us.

It is somewhat historical hotel with the atmosphere of the bohemian past!!! Beautiful interiors complemented by very friendly professional staff! I had a very pleasant time! Wholeheartedly recommended!!!

Second time staying in this lovely hotel. It has character, history and a faded beauty to it. Its a very comfortable place to stay. Ideally situated near to the Ku-damm with plenty of good restaurants nearby.
