We stayed at Hotel Bristol Berlin for 4 nights! Conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, metro and walkable to different neighbourhoods we wanted to explore. Staff were helpful and check-in was easy! Our room was cleaned/tidied up every day! Breakfast buffet had good food choices! Pool and sauna was refreshing after long day of exploring! We used hop-on/off buses close to hotel to explore tourist attractions. We used metro and buses! We were close to shopping mall (Kedewe with great oyster bar, shopping). Luxury and retail shopping very close by. This hotel was conveniently close to what we wanted to explore around Berlin! We enjoyed our stay!

Awful, awful customer service

Staff were so rude. Right from check in, no hello or greeting of any kind. I asked to check in early if possible and she said yes. Gave me my room key, I went all the way up to find out it was a twin room instead of a king which I had booked. She should have let me know at reception that she was going to change it as I would have politely declined and waited until check in. She offered no apology, only a deadpan ‘ok’. So I told the receptionist that I wanted the room that I ordered and would come back at the check in time. I came back later, at check in time, to be met by another receptionist (Julian) who was also devoid of any customer service. Again, no hello, no greeting. Just a sour expression, he tried to check me in and said I already had checked in, the colleague from earlier walked over and they started conversing in German. After a few minutes of them staring at the computer I asked ‘is there a problem?’. No response. I then repeated ‘is there a problem?’ And the female answered ‘no’ without looking up. Then called the manager over who also didn’t acknowledge my presence, barked some orders in German and retreated back to her office. Absolutely shambolic. Would never stay here again and wouldn’t advise anyone stay here either. The staff have zero customer service training or initiative. Trying to communicate with them is like pulling teeth!

Hotel is well located and staff were very friendly. Room was clean and functional, although the air conditioning was not working properly. When reported to the reception they advised this was a known problem, so it was disappointing we were not put in a different room at check in. With the windows open the room was cool enough but a little noisy. Otherwise very happy and represented good value for money.

We booked 2 rooms, mine was fine and as described but my colleage was given 2 single beds rather than a king. He also had issues with his TV with hardly any channels working, my TV was better but there were hardly any English language channels available. The breakfast was expensive and sub-standard for the price. The staff were great.

I can confidently say it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel right at home. They went out of their way to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. The highlight of my stay was definitely the breakfast. It was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options that catered to all tastes. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, and it was a great way to start the day.
