A horror for none smokers. Couldn't access bar because of bad smoking odours, which also were present in all levels of the hotel. Bedrooms included. Double bed was to small in size, couldn't sleep at all. Ask for room with two single beds, couldn't have. Housekeeping entered room in the early morning whithout knocking? Also had displayed the do not disturb sign? Still tried to enter. Had not been informed by staff at check in that breakfast was included? Extremely poor value for money. Never again.

Great location, short walk from the railway station. Wasn’t impressed with the smell of stale tobacco smoke in what was supposed to be a no smoking hotel. Heating controls were a bit vague, the room was constantly too hot. We were on the 6th (top) floor, and found the room and especially the bathroom to be a bit tired and in need of a refresh. Staff were all super friendly and helpful

The Savoy is unique in Berlin, having been opened in 1929. It is the perfect gateway to Berlin City West.

This hotel has a great location by the Berlin zoo that has a direct bus to the airport and is close to Kurturstendam shopping. It’s very cozy Old world feel and offers a fabulous breakfast included.

Very Beautiful hotel...but defo not the Savoy I thought it was. Absolutely amazing breakfast!!! They even have champagne! Loads to choose from. My room was clean and I enjoyed my stay. Location is decent. Not too much around immediately but when you got a for little 10 minute walk those shopping options, the metro, loads of food around and great transport links. I’d 100% stay again.

The history and location of this property are great. A big issue is that there is no ducting or air circulation, or air conditioning in the building. In the summer this makes the room unbearably hot, and they only have a few fans available. The staff was very helpful and actually gave me their fan from the front desk, but I will not stay here again in the summer, perhaps the winter.

The staff were super efficient however the room was very hot. We are aware previous visitors mentioned this so I was expecting some fans in the room. Being at the front of the hotel we were disturbed by the noise from the road as we needed to keep the windows open at night.

Excellent location in a brilliant area, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and well appointed, although very hot at times, a fan is provided in the absence of air con. Expedia offered us a free welcome beverage with our stay at the times bar which is part of the hotel, the receptionist was rather surprised at this but we were offered a free "soft drink" in voucher format- as a toast to our holiday we decided to add a spirit each at the grand price of £42 for 4 shots to add to our cokes!!!! Be warned if you're on a budget!

To begin with they should make it very clear there is no AC. They give you fans but when it is 90 degrees out all that does is convex the heat. Was about 30 minutes from going to a new hotel.

This hotel has a great location and their cappuccinos are superb. Unfortunately, this is about it. No A/C in the rooms (perfect if you prefer sleeping in a Bikram Yoga temperature). The rooms need an update in renovation and some TLC (no covers on the beds etc.) They have a "smoking room" next to the lobby and the smoke is noticeable also on other floor levels.

This was our second time staying at the Savoy and in all honesty we will probably not stay again unfortunately. No tea/coffee facilities and when we asked were told it depended on the type of room we had booked (we were in a standard double) so then we requested a kettle, and that's all we got- a kettle, no cups , spoons, tea or coffee! The toilet broke on the first day so had to move room but that was no problem as these things happen but when we tried to open the window in the new room the handle came off in my husbands hand. We LOVE the history of the building, the smell of the cigar bar, the location, it really has a truly special aura when you walk into the foyer but it is very much in need of a facelift in the rooms. The sheets and towels were spotless, the staff were lovely as always, the beds incredibly comfortable and the art deco decor beautiful.

Highly recommended.
5-night stay and is the perfect area for getting around Berlin, minutes walk from a main stations for train and bus. Only problem l encountered was they couldn't use my debit card for a security deposit but with same card, was able to pay for my stay before it began! They require a credit card for the security deposit.
