We were surprised that the sheets and pillows were provided separately and we had to put them on ourselves. The pillows were low quality and flat. The location is convenient though not walkable to a lift. The pool closes at 19:00 so don’t expect to go after dinner.

Residence bien située, les appartements sont correct par contre on ressent bien que c est tres vieillissant et pas tres bien entretenu. Le menage est complètement a revoir.Dommage... L equipe est reactif si probleme , ca remonte un peu la note.

Helpful staff, nice room. Pool and hot tub was always too busy, some people just hogged the tub for hours without consideration BUT the pool was a bonus not an essential.

We didn't feel that this property was representative of the listing pictures. It was a lot more run down and stark in comparison. Perhaps because we got a ground floor unit. - The patio was unusable (no privacy and plastic table and chairs were covered in bird poop). - Grounds weren't well kep with grass long, not outdoor seating around the pool (which is much smaller than expected with limited hours). - Check in process was frustrating. - Unit had absolutely no supplies (no hand soap, no toilet paper, etc). We asked the front desk and they gave us a half roll. - Sheets and towels were provided in a big bag so we had to make all the beds (which I realized later during our trip seems to be a european thing...)

The first thing I have to mention is the excellent staff. Every one of them was polite, attentive and helpful and communicated well in spite of the language barrier. I didn’t speak a word of French but they did their best to communicate in English and they did a great job. Garden and City has lots of common spaces to hang around after a hard day of hiking. Most lodgings in Cauterets do not have common spaces. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. There is an in-house laundromat. Located in the center of town. Pricing was reasonable. I would highly recommend this place.

The room was in unacceptable condition: the bed was covered in dust, and the window facing the garden lacked screens, allowing flies and mosquitoes to flood inside when opened—which was necessary due to the hot weather. Furthermore, the TV was completely unavailable to watch the ongoing FIFA World Cup matches. Although the staff acknowledged and reportedly flagged the issue, no successful repair was made during our entire stay. This was a highly unpleasant experience. I am left wondering how this establishment maintains a 2-star rating. Expedia should immediately consider delisting this property. I felt completely misled by this listing, and this experience has made me hesitate to trust hotel recommendations on Expedia in the future.
