Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
I needed a room on short notice and found this property on Expedia. I booked a King Suite. Their idea of a King Suite is a single room with a queen bed and a small bump out. The room was dirty and smelled of chemicals. I requested a new room and was put in a regular king room. Again, the king bed was a queen, but this room was clean and didn't smell. I requested a comped breakfast given I was downgraded in room and was provided two vouchers. I gave the vouchers to the host at breakfast and was still charged for two breakfasts. The breakfast was terrible. When I got home I found that I was charged for two breakfasts (which was later reversed after a phone call) and charged an additional $127.88 to my credit card. The hotel was unable to explain that charge and it doesn't appear on my statement. This is over and above the $50 temporary charge for incidentals. I was told the $127.88 would like be reversed, but that has yet to happen.
The property is not clean. The paint is scuffed and chipped in the hallways. The rooms are dingy and dated. They market the place as sort of a "healthy hotel," with workout equipment in the room. In my opinion, that stuff adds zero value. I just wanted what I paid for, which was a King Suite. The fact that I paid over $200 for a suite and wound up with a regular room, (even with a "free breakfast") didn't provide any sort of value. The manager should be embarrassed and I can't recommend this place to anyone.
