This is a lovely inn where you will enjoy a B&B style stay with lovely river views and easy access to all White Mountains attractions. Our room was very cozy with effective AC. We arrived too late for dinner, but there is a full restaurant with a variety of delicious breakfast choices. In our case, it was an ideal halfway rest between Quebec and southern New England. I would not think twice about rebooking!

Reminded me of Grandma's House

The Wayside Inn is located just east of Bethlehem between Rte. 302 and the Ammonoosuc River. I stayed in the main building and felt like I got the nicest room in the place. While it reminded me of my Grandma's House, the internet worked great. If you want modern, this isn't it. If you like historic, old-fashioned, and the best free breakfast. You will like The Wayside Inn.

Rustic, needs better beds, but a gem!

A place to stay to get to the mountains. Very rustic place - common areas are marked by old furniture (reminds me of my grandparents - think 50/60s) which is comforting to me. Room is spacious. Bed is not comfortable at all - that’s the biggest draw back. I like staying here enough and the inn keeper is so nice that I would literallly bring a mattress pad - the bathroom is spacious with a great tub and shower. Breakfast is included which is made to order- so for the price in such a great place to get to the white mountains I would not pass this up.

The stay was wonderful. Everyone who worked there was kind, helpful, and made us feel like home. We had a room with a lovely view of the flowing streaming in the back. A great place to make you feel like you’re reconnecting with nature.

Was warmly welcomed upon arriving. Sarah helped me with accessing my room when the door was stuck. Loved the sound of the stream just outside the back balcony. Bed was comfortable. Most important - it was quiet! And Sarah is a great cook. Didn’t realize breakfast was included - made to order! Convenient to Mt Washington golf resort, where I played 3 days. Decor is sweet and dated. Enjoyed sitting in the balcony in the late afternoon sun. I’d return.

The staff seemed friendly and they have a restaurant/bar on-site. The rooms are pretty outdated but the bed was very comfortable and clean, aside from a couple stains on the linens and towels. I only stayed one night and it served its purpose.
