there was no hot water and it wasn’t going to be fixed until the next day, room was dirty found toilet paper on the floor behind the door, there were crumbs on the table, the table was loose, one of the beds did not have a mattress topper it was only the springs and I found a long hair on one of the pillows, lastly the beach area was super dirty

This was awful- I literally left after 20 minutes and they refused a refund. There was garbage in the room, no towels on premises, didn’t have the room I reserved, and rude front desk service. I had to find somewhere else to stay after driving 3 hours to get to this place. The pictures are not accurate, the “beach” is a gross mud pit

Great location, but poorly managed. While the location is excellent, the property is very poorly run. I was asked to return three times because my room wasn’t ready or cleaned. Only one staff member appeared to be working and was handling everything alone. There were no towels available on the property for guests. When I asked about them, I was told there simply weren’t any—and they might not get more until next week. Overall, very disappointing experience despite the convenient location.

To be fair I booked the hotel late after an event we decided to stay. when we got to the hotel no one was at the front it was closed even though it said they should’ve still be open. We got there at 10 and their office hours was till 11. We called and the person that answer was very dry and wouldn’t even let me speak she just said what to do but couldn’t understand her and she would hang up before I could even speak back with questions. After the 3rd time calling her and trying to figure out what was happening we got the keys and went into the room. The room smelled of smoke but he had to make do. I wouldn’t stay again.

Do not recommend!

We arrived at 9pm well within lobby hours and were told that someone had left and mistakenly took the room keys with them so we had no key and that the room was unlocked and we can go right in! Not good. And that we can lock it from the inside however if we wanted to leave then we would have to leave the room unlocked. The room was a little chilly so we tried to light the fireplace, didn't work. We then tried to turn on the heater, didn't work. The young man at the front desk came and tried to fix both but no luck. There was only 1 bath towel for 3 people, just 1! So the young man had to go to other rooms that weren't occupied to get more since their dryer was broken and they didn't have extras. Ceiling and walls are paper thin so we heard everything. Microwave handle was broken. There was a coffee maker in the room but just a coffee packet, no cream, sugar, stirrer etc.... We were looking for lodge info and checked the desk drawer and the entire bottom of the drawer was missing! The outlets were old, worn out and loose so it didn't hold our charging plugs. The floor was FILTHY!! I walked barefoot from the bed to the bathroom and back and my feet were totally black. I washed off my feet and it happened again while just walking around inside the room. No cold water. Cold water Sink Taps didnt work. Couldnt take a shower due to scalding hot water (no cold in shower either). Some other persons hairs in my bed. No light bulb. Coffee maker missing (just mugs). No chairs on balcony (all other units had them). Also on the 4th of july holiday there was powertools and construction and banging all day next door. I was super sick and trying to rest. It sucked. Guy at the front desk didnt care. The other two ladies were super nice and friendly at check in.

Donna says that she's the manager, she is very rude. We got no hot water, no heater and the TV was not working. Terrible place to stay. would not recommend this place.

Avoid this place at all costs

There is nothing good about this place. Very aged and dirty. They had plumbers working and said no hot water until 4:00 pm. I spoke to one of the plumbers and they said no hot water until next week. Apparently the owner knew this and still continued bookings, and did not disclose this beforehand. The sheets and beds were so dirty we chose to lay on top of the bed with a blanket that we brought. We left early since we could not take a hot shower and sprayed down all of our clothes with Lysol and immediately washed everything that touched that room. Steer clear of this place. I wouldn’t pay $10 a night to stay here, and they charge $200.

“The property is a bit older, but its charm is undeniable—beautifully situated right off Big Bear Lake. The location is ideal, offering easy access to events and local attractions. The beds were soft and clean, and the room was comfortably furnished with a small dining table, cabinet, fireplace, and fridge. Although breakfast was included, we had early plans and didn’t get to try it; it appeared to be a simple offering of cereal and fruit. Overall, this spot would be a great fit for families, couples, or solo travelers alike.”

This was by far the worst place we have ever stayed. The bathroom was horrendous, filthy beyond description. I dont think anyone has ever scrubbed the tub or toilet. The towels looked like they were never washed, so we went to ask for more towels at the front desk only to be given more dirty towels. There was wiring exposed in the bathroom at the light switch. We didnt even dare sleep under tbe blankets. Luckily, we had taken a throw with us and just slept on top of the comforter and used the throw. There was a strong propane odor in the hallway. We had to hold our breathe every time we ran by. I can't believe Expedia associates itself with this place. It is literally a dump. The only positive is its location.
