The place was old, dirty and infested with rats. Horrible place. They charged us $125 extra for a double room that was advertised at no additional cost on our booking. We can hopefully get a refund for our $125. I would not recommend this place to anyone

We had thought we were getting a room with an automatic fireplace, instead we got a wood burning fireplace. It was nice, but we had to buy the wood and I couldn’t handle the smoke smell in the room. Otherwise, adorable room.

Alright, Disappointing Breakfast
TL;DR: Average room, non-existent Continental breakfast, decent location, affordable price. Overall, it was okay. Traveled to Big Bear for a weekend trip with my gf. The first night, the shower has no hot water, even after running for a few minutes. There was no table in the room and no set-aside closet, but since it was a short trip, it was bearable. The heater in the room worked thankfully. Like other reviews have noted, the walls are thin so you can hear other guests. The listing on the hotel states that there is a hot tub and pool. The pool was closed given that it was winter. The hot tub was small and didn't looked very appealing. We didn't try it. The main gripe I had was the Continental breakfast. It says that breakfast was provided which is one of the reasons why we ended up staying here. In short, there is effectively NO breakfast, more like a few snacks. There was no hot food, only a few small prepackaged muffins, hard-boiled eggs, and some coffee. Oddly, given the poor selection, the breakfast hours are still restricted to 8-10 am. We decided to instead go to a local cafe (I strongly recommend just not bothering with the breakfast or at least know what you're getting which isn't much).

The room was small, but comfortable. Fireplace in the small room which was a nice surprise. It does not have a closet. The breakfast was not so good. Microwave oatmeal, cold hard boiled eggs, and frozen waffles. The guy in the front desk was nice. The pool and fire pit area did not look at all as the picture in the listing. It is located close to most shopping & dining.

It has great location. The only downside for me was that previous tenant turn in the fireplace so the room smelled like burn wood, even the sheets. But other than that, it was clean, descent breakfast with great hours, friendly staff.

My stay was good, some of the furniture inside the room wasn’t in the best shape, a little dated but functioning fine. The door to the room was a little cumbersome when opening it. Not much for wall insulation in the walls so you can hear a lot from other rooms if they are noisy, and some banging from other doors too. But all in all I had a good time and would definitely recommend it.
