Husband and I only stayed a night.Breakfast was excellent. A good variety.We decided to take the bus. Bus stop is nearby.Not punctual. As we waited the shuttle service was around the clock. Staff was wery friendly. I think the shower needed a little attention, moldy.

The common area is very nice and updated. The rooms are not there were mode due between the grout line. The tub was old and the towers were tired. The shuttle service was marginal leaving was good but coming from the airport the driver didn’t bother to stop. Literally just did a drive-by.

Rooms are very old and weathered. No water bottle provided in the room. Spanish only television. Expedia booking of 2 rooms was not recognized and check in was over 30 minutes as a result. It was 31C and the shuttle bus driver did not turn on air conditioning. Holiday Inn and Expedia should be embarrassed about this property.

Everything was fine except we waited for the shuttle from the airport which never did show up and so we had to get in a taxi. We even called to find out where it was and they said it wasn’t at the hotel so it must be at the airport. The hotel needs to have better communication with the shuttle. We waited for an hour and the hotel is only 5min away. They did compensate us with a drink at the bar.

Very nice facility with excellent service at front desk. The airport shuttle is very convenient and had no trouble making a 7AM departure. The breakfast is super and starts at 5Am. This is an ideal hotel to use if you have an early flight the next morning or are arriving late to Bilbao Airport. It is not close to central Bilbao.

The shower we had just had curtains around it so small and when you shower the whole bathroom floor gets flooded, we had to use so many towels on the floor to catch the water! Awful! Bed sheets are so uncomfortable and not smelling fresh.

We were at shuttle area between 22:45 and 22:50 and waited until 23.15. Contacted hotel and were told it left at 22:45 so we had catch a taxi for 12 euros. Reception and breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.

Best option of stay near the airport

Free shuttle to airport from 5am to 11pm. Good breakfast starting at 5am - even they call it an express breakfast between 5am and 6am, it’s impressively good. We stay at two hotels near the airport and Holiday Inn is better in multiple ways (service, breakfast, price, frequency of shuttle).
