We checked in to the hotel fairly quickly, however we were given a room with three single beds instead of at least a double bed, since it was inconvenient for my wife and I sleeping in separate beds. And my wife tried two beds trying to find one that was comfortable, as she said it had something in the middle of the mattress that made it hard to sleep.
During the 2nd evening, the room temperature was at 24C. and I tried to set it to 19C. before going to sleep. I woke up about 90 minutes later as the room was extremely hot. I found that the heater had gone on automatically and the room was now over 28C and climbing. I called down to the desk and they told me that the A/C was turned off so there was no way to cool off the room, and they suggested I turn off the thermostat and let the room cool down. In order to do this I had to open the window and it took over an hour to cool down the room enough to be able to sleep.
I would suggest the hotel put a note on the thermostat during the Fall/Winter that says there is no way to cool off the room and to turn off the thermostat to lower the temperature.
