Very clean with comfortable bed. Breakfast cost $8 but is excellent. Room decor is old but functional. Bathroom sink and toilet are very low. Good value for the price though.

The staff was nice. The sheets and pillowcases were clean. The rooms were very small and not well lit. The air conditioner did not work. Not a hotel I will choose again.

Very clean room. We stayed there in mid October and they had deactivated the air conditioner. You could only turn the heat off and open the window if you got hot. This was adequate, but you need to prepare for it.

Throwback gem

First off, you know what you're getting when you book here. It is a quaint, throwback hotel, adequately maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful, including when my neighbor left his TV on all night and had to be called to ask him to turn it off (the walls are thin, it wasn't *that* loud). Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would choose to stay here again.

Reviews of the lodge vary depending on the site checked. Things to consider: it is not far from a hospital (helicopters/ambulances) and the attached restaurant is closed except for occupant breakfast The Lodge itself is quite nice and comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.
