One night stay, got room on side away from railroad. Probably good as I didn't notice any. Decent Mex restaurant next door saved looking. Friendly staff.

5/5 – Comfortable Stay with Excellent Service I stayed at the Locomotive Inn in Laurel, MT on August 16, 2025, and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. We booked a standard room with two queen beds, and it was perfect for our needs. The front desk staff was exceptional, especially considering we checked in around 11 pm. They were welcoming and efficient, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of travel. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The beds were soft yet incredibly supportive, and the pillows were just right — I honestly had the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a while. When I first walked in, I did notice a slightly old smell, but it wasn’t strong or bothersome and quickly faded into the background. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others looking for a restful night in the Laurel area. Five stars!

The staff was friendly and the room clean. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected: Egg Omelettes, sausages, biscuits and gravy (all needed to be heated up in MW) plus great belgian waffle maker, juice and coffee. Note: there is not a pool - that was removed and the space turned into a conference room - BUT their online information still lists the pool. The motel is near the railroad tracks so train noise is present ocassionally. Very convenient location just a few blocks off the freeway.

Great bang for your buck!

To be clear, there are a lot of things I could’ve listed that could be improved, but all in all my experience here was a good one. As mentioned another reviews, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, the rooms fairly updated and clean, but the highlight is the fitness center, which is literally a day pass to the locally own fitness center next-door to the motel. Only drawback is the proximity to the railroad tracks thus the name.

The hotel was good, but their pool is in a separate building, Fitness building, which you have to get a pass from the front desk to get into, which was fine, but when we went over to check it out, some grumping lady says very rudely, says "you can't be in here, we have aerobics". So, if they got classes in there you can't swim. So, they really should not say they have a pool.

Couples Trip

The host was gracious and friendly. There was beautiful metal art outside, and collections to look at inside. It had a home like feel. The pool and hot tub are nearby and not open when you'd like them to be was the only drawback.

Great place to stay overnight after a day in the Beartooth Montains! Staff were very friendly. Rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. Hallway carpet could use replacement. Nice breakfast in AM.
