Overall my stay was satisfactory. The hotel looks nice with period features. My room was very dated, on arrival and entering my room there was a number of flys around the window and flying around the room, along with ladybirds in the bathroom. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, as this was just somewhere to sleep due to work commitments it was satisfactory. I did also have an issue with my key card which ment I had to go back to reception twice to have this issue resolved.

Doubt if they clean the room , we were UPSTAIR , lipstick on the cup, hairs everywhere Paper thin plastic board you can hear people walking and chatting from mid night to morning

Very convenient for LBA, room comfortable, easy parking, good breakfast, easy check-in / -out. Staff welcoming and helpful. Will use again. Only downside is sat-nav directions not hotel fault but drive difficult to spot on island at night

Located away from town centres this hotel has some character and indeed some characters.Undoubtedly it needs a few £’s to update but that doesn’t take away from the price you pay against the comfortable stay you receive. It is very clean,warm,as comfortable as a Premier Inn and the staff (reception,restaurant,room prep staff) are all welcoming and know how to smile. The smiles are my takeaway….they’re free.

There was so much noise I simply could not rest I was forced to leave after a few hours of trying to sleep win no success. Check in receptionist on this occasion was very abrupt and not very hospitable. I was forced to drive back home in the middle of the night rather than be forced to stay awake by the constant noise from the neighbouring rooms. Not happy at all.

Lovely hotel, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The rooms are a bit dated but the bed was comfy and everywhere was clean. The water pressure wasn’t great and my room was cold but apart from that it was good - would definitely recommend.

The property is what it is, but it’s quite tired and in need of an update. The rooms are in modern wings attached to the grand house you’ll see in the pictures — there was apparently no lift, so be prepared for a long walk & lots of stairs to rooms. It was comfortable but I’d not be rushing to stay here again.

We especially liked the staff we met. The room was clean, bed comfortable. The only thing we were really upset about was that my Sister who’s 75 years old came to visit us for a couple of hours, and a few days later got a £100 parking fine. To me it’s ridiculous that a virtually half empty car park can fine someone for staying a couple of hours. There was a notice on the front desk that said guests had to put in their registration number, surely not for someone visiting family. And that 2 hours was spent in reception talking to the staff. And they knew she was just visiting and no one mentioned that she had to put her reg number in. Still doesn’t alter how we felt about the staff. They were very friendly. Especially the ones on Reception.

Upon entering bankfield was greeted with 2 foreign people avin an argument one had him by the throat, instinct kicked in i said do you mind ,this is a hotel , they looked shocked id said anything, then proceeding to reservation desk to check in , was directed to different parts was goin everywhere over hotel , its tired out dated , my partner then said he worked there in the 80,s painting it still the same paint on ceilings, plus wallpaper was coming off n hangin, finally found room , omg it needed a good clean dust on skirting boards cobwebs , curtains needed washing smelt of smoke from vapes , looked in bathroom bath stained , n toilet looked looked like someones had a shave n left the bits in it , flushed it n still wouldn't go so i took a photo , anyway it was getting late , bed was ok after checking but slept on top , then just sort of settling down then the smell of someone smoking weed , it absolutely stunk , because it was dark couldn't see who was smoking it , in the morning, when looking out of window no wonder , they looked like asylum seekers, in the morning i did ask a member of staff and they wouldnt comment, n rushed off , there was no manager about as they had a craft fair on so i left it , it wasn't only us that remarked but others on our floor did to , said no point complaining you won't get anywhere they look after them , sorry to say its a beautiful hotel in its day but not behind closed doors it isnt , sorry for long post but im saying as i find it

We decided to stay here as I was meeting family at a local event. The location turned out to be great as I could walk to the event which made life a lot easier. The car park is huge and free which is a very big plus. Although there is so many signs telling you to validate your parking. The condition of the building is dated to say the least. Bits of worn carpet, wallpaper hanging off etc. It’s definitely dated and needs some serious renovation. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, it was okay. Selection of cold continental and hot breakfast. Limited in quantity and despite the menu stating black pudding there wasn’t any. The milk for the cereal wasn’t cold and neither was the fruit juice. Little annoying things that would be easily improved on. All little thin

The carpets in the area I was in were dirty. There is no lift to that area . A member of staff. Carrtied my bag to the second floor thank you. Staff were pleasant. It was quiet.
