Perfect for a stay when attending an event nearby

Great hotel for when I'm working on Birmingham. If there are no events locally, you can get a fantastic room at a low rate. Rooms are amazing, clean and well appointed. Good choice of food and drink

We booked this hotel for its convenience to the BP Pulse concert and were excited to stay in the Penang deluxe double with sofa and minibar. Lazara was wonderful and welcoming when she brought us extra spa robes, she truly deserves recognition! Unfortunately, the aircon didn’t work, the room was unbearably stuffy, and despite repeated complaints nothing was fixed. Promises of maintenance and a room move were poorly handled, we were even forgotten about for over an hour. In the end, we lost our deluxe double and were downgraded to a smaller superior room. As a group of three, staff first suggested splitting us into separate rooms instead of giving us the interconnecting option we asked for, and only after I pushed back did they reluctantly agree. We didn’t really get what we paid for, and the lack of organisation and communication made the whole stay unnecessarily stressful.
