We were in Birmingham for a medi al appointment and had been told this property was a good place to stay. I can truthfully bsay we were treatedvery well by everyone we had contcat with. The staff at breakfast were very kind and friendly. Our shuttle driver was very friedly. The only complaint (and it isn't big) is that when we tried to call for pi k ppup no one answered the phone and we had to walj back to the hotel.

Upon checking into the room, we were hit with the smell of smoke. I called downstairs and explained the issue and was given another room, which was better. The following morning I called guest services for additional towels. After waiting 30 minutes I called again. With no answer. We called multiple times, still no answer. I eventually had to walk downstairs where I saw the front desk person sitting at the Starbucks area talking to the employee. With no one answering the phone, one would assume that the lobby must’ve been busy, well that definitely wasn’t the case. Another positive was the accessibility of the shuttle to the airport. A negative was the garage gate does not close which anyone had complete access to enter at their will.

This was an absolutely terrible stay from the get go. They did not have the room I booked and failed to mention that to me when I initially checked in - they told me to return in an hour. When I returned, this is when they informed me they didn’t have my room. They offered to downgrade my king suite to a double queen and acted like this was great for me. The night manager Vincent was an absolute nightmare. He refused to acknowledge any fault of the hotel for this mistake and continuously argued with me. I will never stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The AC in the room wasn’t great. The temperature didn’t regulate. The elevators took forever. The shampoo in the shower was amazing and the beds were super comfy.
