Room with a view!
Very nice room overlooking the runway "which is fascinating to watch" Food all good All in all great place to start your holiday. Top tip, pay a little more for the top floor rooms and enjoy the planes.

Very short walk from the airport and the monorail link to the NEC and rail links. Excellent service, reception efficient and polite. Room comfortable and clean although a musty smell from the bathroom . Breakfast excellent as were evening meals. Overall a very good hotel to use when visiting the NEC or flying out of Birmingham airport

Booked room with infant Called then at 5pm to check they had seen notes for a cot and advised yes Arrived at 7 … no cot Called reception / housekeeping - no answer Went to reception and said we called and they said cot in room - lady on reception said “oh I saw a note about this ..” - not much good a note Said will be 20mins 30mins later no cot - back to reception Another 15 mins and finally got it and a cranky infant

Keycards weren’t working so every time we needed to gain access to the room we had to be let in & when it was busy we ended up hanging around waiting to be let in. Something basic but orange juice from concentrate, really!? Also Friday morning at 9:30 there was an extreme lack of cooked breakfast items available & considering breakfast finished at 10 this really was disappointing. No sports available to view in the bar area of an evening (we ended up walking down to the Novotel) and weirdly we were told that the hotel licence didn’t allow for us to have cocktails?!

For a premium brand hotel charging premium prices we were disappointed. The room was ok but the pillows were ridiculously soft so I asked for a firm pillow at reception. The lady was very apologetic but said they did not have any, she said lots of people ask for them so it appears it's not just me!! Had a truly awful night's sleep, wish I had booked a premier inn instead. The other thing to note was all communal areas were far too hot
