Great value and location.

Located about 20 minutes walk from the event I was attending at The Flapper pub. Also, only 20 minutes walk from New Street station coupled with the cost made this an ideal place to stay. If you are attending the O2 Academy then this would be a fantastic location.

Not a bad budget option for an overnight stay. The rooms are very small and the decor is reminiscent of a hostel, so you can tell you're slumming it a bit. Our room was clean but had a bad smell whenever we flushed the toilet. The cleaner was promptly able to offset it for a little while, but could not entirely resolve it during our stay. For an extra fee, there is a decent breakfast buffet, and also the option to order pizza 24/7 which may be worth it considering the delivery times following a concert. The hotel is a short walk from New Street through the vibrant China Town and Gay Village, with plenty of interesting shops and restaurants. As with most UK cities, I would still be wary walking around the area at night. The best part of this hotel are the friendly staff who are available 24/7 and remained polite, upbeat and helpful even throughout the night.

A very small place, would only recommend for solo travellers or groups of two in a room. Some of the staff were also not that attentive. I had asked for extra bed sheets and was told by the receptionist that some sheets would be brought to our room in 30 mins. I waited an hour before heading to reception again to follow-up. The receptionist had forgotten my request and said ‘oh yeah, what room are you again’ We also saw some silverfish in the room, so if you’re someone who can’t handle bugs, this may not be the place to stay.

Fine for our needs.

We've stayed here before. The location is good for our needs. The room was spacious and what we expected. There was an unpleasant smell so we opened the window. We woukd welcome an extra pilliw and a hand towel but know that this is a budget hotel. We slept well and the shower was good.

Very basic, which was expected. Bunk bed very uncomfortable and difficult to access. Breakfast very poor. It is not a continental breakfast. There are boiled eggs and ham and a much better selection of fruit.

I think every standard room should have glass wear and tea/coffee , water But I know it’s not only Ibis that cuts down on every need of the guests so they can then charge for those basic services . Check out times keep getting earlier but checkin times keep getting later . This is a general view of mine for almost every Franchised hotel however £30 fee for a night and the cleanness , efficiency, safety of the guests is more than reasonable. I slept very well too.
