Hotel is well located and the reception/door staff are fantastic. Really friendly and efficient check in and check out. Although the hotel is tall, the lift wait is short. Rooms are ever so slightly tired around the edges but they are clean and well made. The bed is incredibly comfortable. The light switches and sockets are in useful places and there is space to unwind and store things. There’s an in room fridge. I really like the list of “forgotten items” you can ask reception for. Breakfast was a bit of a let down. My table was laid but so sticky the mug audibly cracked as it unstuck.The sliced bread was stale and the cold plates had days-old hard and browned vegetables put out on display. The cut fruit was dry like it had been out for more than a day by 9am. I’d probably not pay for this next time I stay as it was just unappetising. It’s a bit annoying to have to pay for parking when the car park feels very sketchy and unsafe to be in when dark, but I appreciate this is right in the centre so I guess it’s fair.

Hotel location is great & plenty of parking (although parking is quite expensive). 4 lifts servicing 15 floors so the wait for a lift is ridiculous! We did the online check in but that was a waste of time as we still had to queue for ages to get the key for our room.

Generally very good

Overall very satisfactory stay. Slippers would have been nice. The presence of 2 double beds made the room feel cramped. Breakfast, which costs a bit extra at booking was fine, with good variety.
