great staff at a tired hotel for disabled users
we had to change room as the disabled room was insufficient for our needs this meant a long walk with wheelchair to facilities and we couldn't use the loo easily however the staff were very helpful and tried hard to solve the problem and overall the staff and management dealt with our complaints with patience and sympathetically my wife is an amputee and severely disabled

Very disappointed
Was a very big disappointment. First room was extremely tired and lots of stain's on the carpet, sofa and ceiling, and the headboard was worn/damaged. And in a position too close to the very noisy function. Also the corridors smelt unclean, like stale beer. Because of the awful condition of the room and certainly not what is shown on your website, we requested a room move. And got downgraded to a quieter room, with less stains, but it did have what looked like a dog had cocked its leg up against the bed. And the shower screen rubber needed a good clean, plus the walls in the room. The spa facilities, the emergency exit is out of use! A sign is on it saying “do not use”, and a wet floor sign is blocking the door! Both the steam room and sauna temperatures were set low. Breakfast, one coffee machine is not enough, there was constantly a big queue. Also the food was not replenished. And the kettle in our 2nd room did not work.

This hotel was fine but i think fine is the problem. I booked this hotel based on the perception from the website. The website makes this property look far more luxurious than it is in reality. I upgraded to an executive room and i ho estly would waste the money, just book a standard room. One of the most disappointing points for me was the food. Agaim, the website imagery is not reality. There is a pub, a bar and a restaurant and they give the perception that the restaurants serves bistro style food but they actually serve the exact same food as the pub. I will say, the young team of bar staff were brilliant. The reception staff however were inattentive and a little rude

The breakfast area was in need if upgrading. The carpet alone was extremely well trodden in places.
