Highly recommend
Great location in Birmingham city centre. 5 minute walk from New Street, although in the storm we took a wrong turn. Very welcoming staff on reception. Despite being on a busy road we slept soundly. Will definitely return.

Arrival was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff providing a warm welcome. Room was a good size however king size bed was 2 singles pushed together and was not comfortable. Service and dinner and breakfast was poor. Dinner we were left for 20 minutes before anyone took an order. Food was slow and when it arrived was not great quality. No check back provided. We had to ask for our bill. Checkout was seamless again.

A disappointing trip
I recently stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Birmingham and I was disappointed with all aspects of the hotel. Firstly the room: the carpet was soaking wet around the bathroom door. I attempted to contact the front desk on numerous occasions but no one answered the phone. Also the TV didn't work in my room. I ordered room service and again was disappointed. The person gaki g my order was incredibly rude. When the food arrived I was missing half of the order, the chicken wings were burnt and my bill was wrong. It took 3 trips to resolve the issues.

We had a standard room and it was a nice size. I thought the bed was good but my partner found the mattress sag to be uncomfortable. I’m very noise sensitive and we were only on the 5th floor and I had no problems. The shower was a bit weak. The hotel bar was ok; nothing special but usable. The gym is great - on the 18th floor. We didn’t use the restaurant but we had a look around. Fine for breakfast if it’s not too expensive but not somewhere you’d go to for the evening unless you were staying there and feeling like staying in. The main reason to visit is the location.

The hotel was comfortable and nice. Breakfast was also quite decent. Very close to New Street and Bull Ring. Check in was not very welcoming unfortunately. Was asked to remain at the lobby till 3pm (which is the stated check in time btw). Didn’t believe that the room was not ready till then. In fact I just thought the reception staff were being very stringent, not very hospitable, and rather unhelpful. No assistance with bags during check out also.

Radisson Blu is a very modern and quality hotel near Birmingham's Bull Ring shopping area. It has a great breakfast buffet and the softest beds.

Disappointing breakfast
The hotel was lovely & perfect location for for the 02 academy. Room was spacious & the bed was extremely comfortable. Sadly the breakfast was nothing to write home about. Expected more choice for the price.
