Nice hotel, comfortable stay, differing treatment?

Comfortable and well appointed room, clean tidy and serviced well each day. Fridge and additional purchasable items removed from room. Suspect this might be due to booking through Expedia and not direct which is unfortunate and as a VIP Access property would have expected more support for Hotels.com users and not looked at differently

Good location and a comfortable room if a little hot for me. Beds were comfortable and all was very clean. Only issue was the wait to get our key as we seem to have hit a busy time and it took 15 mins to get to the desk

Love the location

We were there visiting the cruft show and celebrate our anniversary, the hotel upgraded us. They even gave us champagne and chocolate which was so thoughtful. The receptionist was polite and efficient, hate in a super location and the parking was convenient, everything so central. The only complaint was the bed was so soft and pillow no support.

Broken thermostat and apathy

The thermostat in our room was not working. The best they could do was offer a fan. We had to check out and find a last-minute hotel during a busy weekend. There was no effort to find us another room. Felt like the employees didn’t care.

The rooms were comfortable but on arrival to our room we noticed the heating was unadjustable. The room was incredibly hot and we couldn't turn the thermostat down. The resolve this the hotel put a fan in our room which barely resolved the issue. The hotel didn't offer to fix the issue nor did they offer to move us to another room.

The hotel is close to the train station and is an easy walk. Room was a good size. No fan working in the bathroom and the carpets needed to be changed or cleaned. Fridge didn't work. Hotel staff seemed friendly and polite. Hotel needs a make over.

Amazing view, Amazing service

I have wanted to stay here for years and the experience lived up to my high expectations. I paid extra for a city view room and it was worth it! - the view was amazing! The service I received from everyone was great too, the team really went out of their way. I was able to check in slightly early, got a complimentary drink and a nice personal touch to my room. I will be back!
