Great friendly welcome from all the staff, Room was clean with excellent facilities, The Oak Room serves very nice food and has a good selection of drinks and the prices are very reasonable, again the service was attentive and friendly, I have no hesitation booking a stay here again, and look forward to coming back

Nice room had all amenities apart from an iron and there wasn’t a phone to call reception. Wasn’t a major issue as everything else was perfect. The car park is quite big and free. We checked in late and out early so did not try meals. Overall excellent value for money.

Room was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly. Small thing but blinds at the windows were not adequate enough to keep the light out from the car park. Breakfast - plus side they did have gluten free bread but every thing else was of low quality.

A thoroughly enjoyable short stay

The hotel was very easy to find and only a short distance from Bishop Auckland town centre, which we visited on the Saturday morning, using a local bus as the stop was just near the hotel. We were warmly greeted on arrival, which was our experience throughout our stay. Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. We stayed in a room just off from the the entrance near the court yard. The room was quite spacious with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and the food was well presented, hot and very tasty. A very comfortable restaurant and bar, though some separate seating in the bar area might not go amiss. Breakfasts were also excellent with good choices and well presented food. The car park has ample space and a couple of charging points. All in all a great 2 night stay and would definitely recommend There is plenty of car pa

Slept well despite the mattress and pillows being very firm. Thought the full English breakfast was overpriced for what you got (1 sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, half a tomato, half a mushroom, 1 hash brown, 1 small slice of black pudding and 1 egg). Also the plates were cold.
