Really dirty rooms. Changed room but it was as bad. Two of my own plastic wine glasses were removed without my knowledge. Not enough toilet rolls given Towels soft; food good. Reception staff helpful. Not a great holiday and would not recommend.

The hotel was very grand. Nice and comfortable furniture. Having to pay for a meal in the evening was a bit expensive and the same menu each night. The beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast and evening meal were very nice and weren't too filling which is good.

One night stay

The hotel was nice and clean. It was extremely busy and booking in at reception took a long while on the Saturday evening. There weren't enough staff to provide the service you would expect and as we had tickets booked for the theatre, we left and returned after our night out. We enjoyed the breakfast which was hot and tasty.

Needs a complete overhaul, it used to be a lovely hotel to go to, it’s the only hotel we would use but never again it was dirty, loud, some staff were rude and we had no water for hours ,we wasn’t even given bottles of water because they hadn’t got any .

Not a great experience, room not very clean,bathroom very awkward to get in or out,staff do not look very happy used this hotel 5 times before and will be seeking other alternatives in future. But you can't beat the breakfast nice choices and tasty.

Standards drop at imperial hotel

Room was dirty carpet floor stained bathroom floor dirty dust in corners Radiator very dirty , crayon and stain on wall, brass plate on inside of door loose No water on our third day Breakfast cutlery dirty on two occasions. Breakfast was good . We have been to this hotel for the last 6 years and this time was very disappointed and we will not return sorry to say.

Came back sweating from a run in the morning to find out there was no running water so couldn’t take a shower. Had to go for breakfast in sweaty running clothes as I didn’t want to put my one set of clean clothes on while still sweaty. Toilet flush was broken so didn’t flush properly. Television didn’t work. Friends who stayed in a same priced room on the same floor as us had a mini fridge, we didn’t. Room was dated, as an example the arms on the chair were worn through.

The hotel rooms are really dated but the big issue was the bathroom.Smell of drains and the next morning we had no water.the entire floor was affected we had to shower in an alternate room!

Hotel itself was really nice. On the first day we asked where the pool was and was told its not in use. This was the main point of booking this hotel. Rooms were very dated and had no air conditioning which was a big shame as it was a hit day and on the 4th floor extremely hot. Shower was very low anyone over the height of 5ft 6 would sruggle

I like this hotel and use regularly on a monthly basis. Yes, it’s a dated hotel, but its a very charming reminder of the beauty it once was in its day. The staff are very helpful, polite and friendly. As a lone female traveler, I feel safe here. Any room requests etc, they happily oblige.

Booked deluxe room, stayed previously a few years ago in the basic rooms and can't say there's much difference other than the view, although the view is nice but overall decent stay and average breakfast.
