The hotel was nice. Older. Bedding needs to be replaced. When we arrived no one was at the front desk. We had to wait. We were tired and just wanted our room. Needs improvement. Breakfast was just ok.

Nice hotel, improvements needed

Hotel was clean and comfortable. My first stat at a keyless hotel (key on phone), which I loved. I always lost the traditional keys. It’s nice how the app notifies you that room is ready, able to check in (through app) 3 hours early. One complaint was the mini fridge was barely working so I constantly had to run and get ice (ice machines on all floors but only ones working were on 1st, 3rd and 5th floor. I was on the second floor. I didn’t complain bc by time I realized it, I was already unpacked and didn’t want to chance switching rooms. I had a suite, which had a sink,so I iced drinks down in it. My complaint was the pool area. It was directly below me. Pool hours ended at 10 pm, tho people were swimming until way after midnight. My room was directly above the pool and I heard kids screaming, laughing, in pool area through the floor. Do not choose or accept room 201 or you will go through same. This is a dog friendly hotel. I have 3 dogs, none with me on this trip. Plenty of dog potty stations (doggy poo bags and a garbage) yet there was dog poop everywhere. If people aren’t picking up after dogs, enforce with a fine or have an employee pick it up daily. The carts used to take luggage to and from room, ppl take to room and don’t return. This wasn’t bc they were checking out as they had 3 and 2 were missing for 2 days.

Te help at customer service was great. We were bummed as the hot tub was out of service and it doesn't state that anywhere on the website and was the main reason we stayed here. Overall, location is great.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites property on Towanda for the most part was tolerable. I have contacted the front desk the day before we arrived and the person ensured us that the elevators work, the pool was open, and the hot tub was working. When we arrived, we learned that the hot tub was inoperable and an employeee Jon or Joe mentioned that the hot tub had been down for awhile. We had issues with the Toilet roll holder breaking, along with the towel rack outside. The main issue we had was my daughter and her friend staying in a room with the other cheer team. The door would not shut or open without extreme force, which is a safety hazard, so they could not safely lock the door. The girls are underage, and the manager on duty said, "There's nothing we can do about it." The manager on duty's lack of empathy, appeared like he did not care, nor want to take responsibility in resolving this issue. However the other person(I think his name is either Jon or Joe) took the time to look for another room that can safely be locked, with an issue of the toilet running. This employee went above and beyond to ensure that the girls were able to be safe. Once this was taken care of, the manager on duty made sure he took responsibility for this, which I know that Jon or Joe is the one who went out of his way. Kudos to this person for ensuring the safety of the girls. He deserves the real credit for being an outstanding employee.

Property could use updating. The room's latch lock had been broken and was somewhat glued back together, the wall paper was peeling, the door stop was stuck into the wall and the remote control didn't have a back to it. The bed was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Normal, Illinois, and I must say my experience was quite disappointing. The main issue during my visit was that both elevators were out of service. This presented a significant challenge, especially as I was traveling with someone who has a disability. Navigating multiple flights of stairs was not only inconvenient but also unsafe and inconsiderate for any guests who may have mobility issues. In addition to the elevator situation, I noticed that the hotel is in dire need of updating. The decor felt dated, and the rooms lack the modern amenities one would expect from a hotel in this price range. The overall atmosphere seemed worn, which detracted from the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. While the staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating, service alone can’t rectify the underlying issues. Unfortunately, I left feeling that my stay did not meet the standards typically associated with Hampton Inns. I hope the management addresses these problems, as it could be a great place to stay with a little investment in maintenance and modernization. For now, I cannot recommend this hotel, especially for anyone traveling with accessibility needs.
