The hotel itself is fine, and what you'd expect from a Hawthorn Extended Stay. But the area around it...geesh. Guards at the very substandard Love's Travel Stop, a closed Circle K nearby, a homeless man rambling and flailing at the light, and replaced the next morning by new homeless people...if you stay here it's to save money. Even then, I drove to the other side of I-74 for anything I needed. If prices in that area are anywhere comparable, go there.

I didn’t interact with the staff, but my room for the most part was decent. Altho, there was a dirty towel in the closet floor. The bathtub had hair in it. The facility is nice, but the road/parking lot has some potholes and really big one towards the back of the building. I will say these things were minor for me, but did feel the need to mention. I enjoyed my stay and will return in the near future.

The hotel was ok. Room not clean. Found food from previous guest in room. Found wrappers in pull-out couch. Stains on ceilings and walls. Casino and bar closed without any previous notice. Dirty hallway carpets. Pool was minimal. Breakfast was ok but not great.

I stayed for 1 night and woke up the next day with bug bites. I called and the manager wasn’t in so I told the receptionist what room I was in and not to let anybody stay in that room because it has bed bugs. I called again the next day and the manager still was not in. Told the receptionist what happened and she said other people stayed in the room and didn’t say anything as if I was lying. I told her I called the day before to let them know so why would they put more guest in that room? It’s costing me way more money to try and get rid of these things than it would have been to just stay at a better hotel. It’s been a nightmare for me and my children who started getting bit after I returned home to them with these things. DO NOT STAY HERE

The bar was closed due to no staff. The outlets in the bathroom did not work. The outlet in the bedroom was hanging off the wall. There was mold growing on the bathtub and all over the shower curtain. The toilet was filthy and wouldnt flush. Orange juice in am was spoiled. HORRIBLE STAY!!!
