Clean, simple, comfortable- would definitely stay again. Communication was clear - we never actually interacted with staff but didn’t need to. Location is convenient to both Blowing Rock and Boone. Would definitely stay again- just will book sooner to get one of the cabin on the pond!

What a hidden gem! Accidently found this on line and immediately booked two nights. The cabins are built into the side of the mountain and accessed with narrow, winding, dirt roads. Picturesque, quaint and so quiet, you can feel the peace immediately upon arrival. The cabin was comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The washer/dryer was my favorite! Excellent customer service. I called to notify them we would be arriving after hours. The call was quickly answered, by a real human, who provided all the necessary information required for check in and check out when the office was closed, an incredibly easy process. The only cons are pets are prohibited, there is a resort fee applied at check out and dumping trash and stripping linens. I do not mind the last two cons but would have liked to be notified before paying the bill as it was a bit of a blindside. I would definitely return and have already recommended to friends. To the staff and management, well done!

Great location, in the middle of blowing rock. Easy access to blue ridge parkway to Grandfather mountain. Only 7 mins to Tweetsie Tailroad. The property is super clean and well maintained. There is a nice pond with fishing opportunities. Definitely we will come back again!

Swiss Mountain is an older property, but it was clean and very comfortable stay. Very quiet, but convenient location. We would definitely stay again without hesitancy.

The room felt rather damp and lacked a hair dryer. The turn and gravel road up to this particular cabin felt tight and not well maintained, check in at 3 and out at 11 would far better than 4 and 10.

It’s fine for the price. You need to understand that this is more like a campground than a hotel (you have to clean the cabin before you leave, wash any dishes you used, take out your own trash, etc.). If you are expecting a hotel experience, you will be disappointed. Overall, the entire property is starting to show its age. Bedding is pretty terrible. Bring your own.

Get away to meet a friend

We had a great stay! We came to blowing rock to go to lunch with a friend of my wife and wanted to get out of town for a night. The chalet was very cozy and quaint. Also very clean. No AC in our chalet, but not needed since we were in the mountains. We slept with the windows open and beautiful mountain air as opposed to Charlotte with 100° temperatures. We’ll definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was easy to find. Although arriving when it’s late and dark the road to cabin is narrow the cabin has everything we needed. We didn’t cook or anything. The cabin was very clean and comfortable.

The cabin was spacious and clean. The only drawback was that it had a window air conditioner downstairs but nothing upstairs. The bedrooms were warm, but I did find some window fans in a closet that helped somewhat. Luckily, it was raining so the nighttime temps were only in the 70's.
