Coach House getaway

Mother daughter trip in one of the Coach House rooms. Nicely appointed room with comfortable bed. Liked the balcony for morning tea (traded our coffee pouches for tea bags). Only downside was carrying our bags up the stairs and would have preferred a separate shower. The grounds are so serene and enjoyed the pool. No visit to the winery as daughter was under-aged but looked nice from outside. Also did not try the restaurant but it also looked very nice. There is parking by their beach. Steep steps to get down to it but beautiful view from up top. We will definitely return and maybe bring another mother/daughter pair to book the other Coach House room.

It’s a very clean establishment overall, we found one small bug on the floor next to the garbage recycling bins. Staff is very friendly. The private beach access is very convenient although there is about 50 steps to the beach but the private access is amazing as we did not have to deal with any crowds unlike the main grand bend beach. Distance to eateries and main beach is reasonable. Suggestions: add an extra garbage bin by the desk. Our room only has a small garbage bin. A couple of the beach towels that we got smelled damp. Noise control. - the door and hallway are sensitive to sounds. Not fault of the hotel on this - Small children were running around early in the morning as early as 6 am. Perhaps better signage along the hallway to remind guests to have consideration for other guests in the area. Overall it was a nice experience and we recommend this hotel and would return as well.
