The lady who checked us in was wonderful and very helpful! They gave us a fantastic room with an excellent view of the bay! The prices can get very expensive in Bodega Bay, making it unaffordable to stay for many people. This property however, has kept their prices very reasonable, so more people are able to enjoy this beautiful area. We sincerely appreciate this! We will definitely be staying here again and have already recommended it to others!

Check in was super easy and I liked having a code for our door. We had a little patio with a table and two chairs and a lovely view of the bay. The room was spacious and the electric fireplace was a nice touch. Walls are VERY thin. We heard way more than should from the couple next door and the family upstairs.

Nice pet friendly resort with fabulous views

We really enjoyed our time together at The Dega Inn ! A four star rating due to they are under a slow renovation of the property. There are No signs that show it’s the Dega Inn ? Not even a temporary sign? But we finally found it . We were early but greeted very openly and friendly..enjoyed talking with host . We took a small multapoo and because of the grounds being renovated his walks were messy and we had to almost bath him every walk . And as everyone has said the showers flood the bathroom ..need to fix that before it causes bigger issues . Mud catching mud mats would be nice at the doors too..inside and out . No place to set shoes after a walk . I know it seems like I am complaining a lot …but this place is still absolutely a place to stay…once the landscaping is finished, and the showers corrected…it will be Hgh Dollar ! Thank you Dega Inn !

Smells and Stains

No one was there to check us in until 4:30. When we got to the room, the chemical smell was overpowering that we had to keep the door open for hours even though the smell never dissipated. Other rooms were doing the exact same thing. Pulled back the sheets...stains. Took a shower...there was writing on the glass so that was never cleaned. There wasn't really anyone available to help and we woke up to ants.

This is a newly renovated property and it is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, the fireplace added a nice ambiance, and the whole room was very clean. We had a beautiful view of the bay, and a patio to relax on. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. Especially compared to other hotels in the area at the same price, this is a fantastic deal.

Good Choice for Bodega Bay

Room was very clean and spacious. A thermostat to control the room temperature would be nice, however. Also, it was difficult to keep the shower from leaking water into the bathroom, since the glass covered only about half the shower. Staff was accommodating with late check-ins and checking out. I was able to arrange everything via text.

This hotel is under new ownership and it’s clear they are trying. Our bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the room had a terrible scent. We looked for a plug-in or something that was putting out the smell, but couldn’t find anything. We slept with the patio door open. The decor is nice and new.

Wonderful place to stay right on the bay. Had a huge room with comfortable beds, fireplace, and nice balcony with view. The shower was nice but should have the glass barrier on the other side. Nevertheless I will come back here. Convenient to restaurants and beaches.

Hotel under new management and recently updated. Office with limited hours. Room comfortable though it needs improvement. Bathroom light needs to be brighter. Closet needs hanging rod and hangers. Needed soap and toilet paper

Broken Balcony Slider Locks

We were booked to stay here, and on arrival, we were shown our room by the front desk clerk. She was very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, we noticed immediately that the sliding glass door to the balcony was broken and unable to lock, which made us uncomfortable. We asked for a different room—the clerk seemed unsure about what to do, but took us to a second room. Again, the lock on the balcony door was broken. A third room was the same, at which time I said we weren't comfortable staying here, and at this point, we would just like a refund for our stay. The clerk got very flustered by this and said she'd have to call upper management, which was fine. They processed our cancellation, and I anticipate a full refund. I would be cautious about staying here due to the lack of security in the rooms. There is also still some construction going on, and it all seemed generally disorganized. The hotel is under new ownership, so maybe they're still working the kinks out, but all rooms should have properly locking doors, which includes the sliding balcony doors.
