This was one of my favorite hotels I picked on my Italy trip. The hotel is located right next to a large piazza with plenty of eating, shopping, and social options. The hotel itself is clean, well maintained, and my room was amazing. The breakfast options were delicious and staff was very attentive. The front desk staff was helpful with suggestions for eating and places to go. They also helped me navigate a train strike so I could travel to the next city. If I go back to Bologna, I will ABSOLUTELY stay here again. Wonderful stay all around and I have zero complaints.

We stayed in the apartments, located around the corner from hotel. Excellent area very walkable and located in best area to see all sights. Only downside was the apartment did not have elevator so taking heavy bags up steep steps was difficult

Excellent hotel
The hotel is perfect, well situated, close to everything to see in Bologna, clean. The breakfast is complete. The only thing that explain a 4/5 note is the insonorisation. We heard everything from the other rooms as if it was inside. Also there is a lot of noise coming from outside and again feels like our windows were open which was not the case.

This was a really nice hotel. It is located right in the Piazza where everything is happening. It is an easy walk to all major attractions. We arrived early, around 11am,. Check in is at 3pm, but they texted us at 1:00 that our room was ready. We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room, It was a spacious room. The Staff speaks English and were very helpful. There is AC, and we did use it. Being in the piazza, there is noise, but with windows closed and AC on, we did not hear the noise. I would definitely stay here again.

Don’t miss this fabulous hotel
Some people have put a lot off thought and effort into this hotel. It’s location is fantastic as is its decoration and comfort. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and address any needs you have. Beware it’s quite long walk on foot from the central station and easier in a taxi. Also the sign outside does not say ‘Art hotel’ but ‘Albergo Oroligio’ and is shown as around the corner on Google maps. It’s literally straight opposing the clock tower. I walked past it twice!

I loved this hotel. It's eccentric - but in just the right way. The rooms are lovely - well-designed and very, Italian. Comfortable beds make for a great night's sleep. Rooms are quiet, despite it being so central for Bologna. Breakfast is adorable - such a wonderful buffet with loads of options and really, really sweet staff. Reception team and housekeeping are all so friendly and helpful too. Such a nice surprise overall and definitely a hotel I would stay in again.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. Everything was very clean and comfortable. I can honestly say it was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Italy. I would highly recommend this hotel as it is in a beautiful location and the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our trip as pleasant as possible.

Great location in Bologna
Just steps from Piazza Maggiore this hotel is both convenient to the heart of Bologna and a quick retreat away from it all. The staff is very nice and accommodating never ceasing to smile. The room was sizable and clean and modern. Good towels. Ribes and slippers. A few fun Italian sodas in the mini bar (for a fraction of what you’d pay in an American hotel). Bed was a little firm for me but that’s just a preference. The bed linens were substantial and clean. The free breakfast was good (not amazing)…just enough to get you started for your day with that very necessary espresso made for you upon request and rather quickly. And some vegan selections which was nice. We felt safe stowing our bars there on our last day too.

Pretty solid spot in bologna, centrally located. Breakfast was delightful and the room was lovely and looked right over the square. Only notes I’d make is that there was only one shower door so it was near impossible to not get the floors wet and the Wi-Fi was rather unreliable
