The location was great, I liked being able to walk across the bridge to shopping and boat tours. The bed felt too soft when I sat on it but I ended up sleeping well which I don't do if the bed is too soft. The pillows were not great but ok. The staff were all very friendly. There was a nice fire pit area out back by the bar so you could sit and look at the boats coming and going. I would stay there again.

Unbelievably expensive ($305.00 per night) for a tired old motel property. We arrived early for a required 4 p.m. check-in and they had no place to store our bags, so we had to drive around with them while we waited. We were also informed that no food was provided other than coffee and juice (self-serve). When we went for a coffee in the "no breakfast" area, we noticed that there were two toasters, two hot food warming units, a mw oven, and a tip jar! Also numerous tables and chairs - as if there had been food provided there at one time. In fact behind this area was an entire dining room full of tables and chairs, no longer in use I presume. When we finally checked in the room was on the second floor, and we had to climb a set of outside uneven wooden plank stairs. My wife and I both fell half way up, but thankfully no serious injuries. When we finally got in the room we discovered a 1960's motel room. No closet for our belongings. Lights and alarm clock unplugged (were they trying to save money on electricity?). Floor lamp missing a bulb. Electric wires to the lamps were tie-twisted so that they were nearly impossible to move. Outlet faceplates in the bathroom and several in the room were loose and a couple were unusable. No daily maidservice. T.V. had 166 stations, but no streaming services. Promised harbor view was only really visible if you went outside the room where two chairs were placed. Only one disability parking space near our room. Required checkout at 10 a.m.!

The view was great. The room, while dated, was clean and functional. The check-in was at a building next door and the directions were poor and hard to follow/understand. The parking lot is unpaved, so one has to haul their suitcases across gravel. And the (rickety wooden) stairs?, daunting, and at the point of being unsafe. Pass on this place.

Great location. Great staff. Easy walk to shops and boat tours. Very dated hotel that could use upgrading. The lobby and hallways could use a good cleaning and upgrade which would make a big difference.

This hotel needs some serious upgrades. It felt like we stepped into the 1990s. Old decor, with worn out, stained furniture. Not good. The only saving grace was that it’s in a great location near the foot bridge, along the harbor.

We brought our daughter and family to visit Boothbay and the botanical gardens. We enjoyed being so close to the harbor and shops and great food. The staff were all so kind!

The location is excellent, away from the crowds but a short walk over the footbridge to most attractions. However, the facility is showing its age. The amenities are fair at best. The place needs a modernization. The staff is helpful and pleasant. Overall, the place is not worth the money.
